No, the fact that some people are praising T Jones does not excuse a thread asking for a player to leave the team. That is for the coaching staff to decide. Criticism of Royce is valid but sample size is very minimal and discussion is better suited to a comment in an existing thread.

This is where coaching comes into play. You have to put people in a position to succeed. I know there are probably other examples, and I'm not comparing this players skill set to White's, but Tony Parker comes to mind as a good player that was coached up by Pop to be great. We all remember how hard Pop was on him his rookie year.

Seriously we have seen the flashes. McHale should get on White's ass (pause) and tell him his defense, rebounding, and other parts of his game need to improve; he should expect more from him than other players.

This thread is a bad one, not only because it's preseason, but because you seem to think you know what this team is. Nobody does. Therefore, you don't know what kind of role will be needed or will open up for White. Kmart can continue to be the "star" the whole season, or he can be traded in a month, shaking things up in the rotation. Delfino also isn't exactly a young'n. An injury could open up time at the 3 spot.

And did you forget he was out for a week? Hes basically missed like a third of the time they've had, OF COURSE he's behind and will still be lost.

And this season won't decide anything. Just look at Morris. He could turnout to be more in his second season than his first. With talented players you've got to give them at least 2 seasons to see how much they soak in over a season and how much work they're willing to put in the off season to improve.

Respectfully disagree. White led in all categories while in school. He's obviously multi-talented. I think he just needs to develop a niche. Having said that, getting more playing time in D-league might not be a bad idea for White.

No but in all seriousness he just needs time to work though this anxiety thing so he can be at all the practices and what not, and find his appropriate role. You don't give up on a mid-first rounder in a stacked draft class before the season has even started....

It's getting ridiculous. The "bash" sample is getting smaller and smaller. Lin's sample is at least 6 pre-season games. Now, Royce's just played a total of 36 minutes in 3 pre-season game. What next?

People are going to start bashing the player we select with the Toronto pick...BEFORE we even select him!

He has all the tools, just need to get his mind straight. I see too many bigs trying to play sg. Hope he doesn't have the twill syndrome, I make flashy passes but can't do the simple things.

What are you saying? You trying to balance order? Are you jealous of Jones getting praised? Or do you want to just find a reason to BASH White?

Personally, I'd advice you to cherish the ability to make threads.:)

White will be fine. He will find out what are things that he can do to calm himself down and make peace within himself to get his play up to speed with what the NBA will deal to him through the season.

What if Clutchfans had its own NBDL? Where new posters had to stay until they learn to not start threads like this.

Then again, maybe this is the NBDL Clutchfans forum and I've just not yet earned the right to post on the real Clutchfans forum...

Royce White needs to go to the D-League.

He just does not look NBA-ready. The tools are all there, but he seems a bit lost on the court. I feel like he will be the biggest project out of the 4 rookies.

Agree with you op. But let's not stop just at Royce white. We need to get rid of all of our white players.
