They are not neglecting the Draft, they are never bad enough to draft great players.

For all the people that think we will "Blow it up" and rebuild now. Good luck. James Harden is still on the team.

    You sound like Morey.

Morey was only here for 10 years why're you blaming him for 18 year drought? Lots of people who bash Morey somehow blame him for 20 year title drought, was he spending every night jinxing the Rockets before he got hired?

10 years to reach WCF isn't that bad when you consider that 10 years included Yao-Mac era, so basically under Morey the team was able to break the 1st round drought, transition from Yao-Mac to Harden-Dwight, reach playoffs multiple times, and then get to the WCF. And all of this with the owner refusing to tank and blow it up so the Rox could get a high draft pick. Most posters here make fun of flexibility not understanding flexibility is the reason the Rox have 50M to spend and James Harden on the team. If you can't understand these simple concepts then IMHO you don't really have a right to say whether Morey is doing a bad job or not since you don't understand enough about the way the NBA works.

Just wish Les would sell the team so they could be flexible in how they approach team building.

Do you understand what overpaying means? Also paying Brewer for 7M when players you don't even know are signing 10M contracts isn't an overpayment.

How can you talk about Fools Gold when you are the one urging the team to sign overpaid players wtf. Let's pay Conley 120M so 3 years from now you can make a thread talking about how bad he is and how Morey should be fired for signing him.

Well? When ignorant fans are thinking we are a "perennial bad team" you are going to get smacked with some knowledge.

Dropping that knowledge. Too many folks can't understand things like context.

if money is clearly not the reason, then there has to be another reason that players don't want to come here. all i can think of is (i) the owner (ii) the GM (iii) the coach (iv) the player currently assembled (v) the legacy - doubtful (vi) lifestyle (vii) hometown discount

what else? a lot of these to me are because of the coach and GM = players assembled, how they treat the team (i.e. culture of team), coach decision, etc.

Perhaps Morey can't (respectfully and obviously) deliver a splash every season and the Rockets fan base is impatient.

They were a 2 seed literally one year ago. I'm not sure you know what "perennial" means.
