With Smith waived I'm assuming that we have a Swing Tackle setup from waivers? Anyone got any info on this
I see what the dolphins are trying to do. Bradie James is still on the team? Eh wateve Is braman still on the team? I remember he's good on ST. Great tackler
I think the reverse with him would be too transparent. And I don't really see knockoffs being any different than normal. A good portion are already out of the back of the end zone
Kinda surprised Fangupo didn't make PS. Not sure what Maehl offers that warrants another trip to the squad. Didn't exactly have an impressive camp from what I heard.
i think some are too high on nolan, i remember him giving up plays a few times last year. nolan shined in the preseason a few times, thats it. demps came in and took his job.. nolan didnt even suit up for the playoffs..
Alan Burge @AlanBurge Ryan Harris is your new OT #texans John McClain @McClain_on_NFL Denver Post says OT Ryan Harris has signed with Texans so he can return to zone blocking scheme. DOB: 3/11/1985 Ht / Wt: 6'5' / 300 College: Notre Dame
Nolan has started and been a solid rotational player before. He's not an All-Pro but he does more than just hold his own. Shiloh Keo has no business whatsoever getting defensive snaps. He looks like the biggest fish out of water out there trying to break down plays in front of him. His real niche on this team is being on special teams and even then I've seen Keo constantly try to blow people up only to to hit nothing but air.
In-game injuries might force Keo to play defense. I strongly suspect that a safety injury would force the Texans to sign a safety FA mid season and get Keo back to ST only.
i was high on nolan last preseason, but in the reg season he was forgettable on the field he got beat a few times. him holding his own obviously wasnt enough to keep him on this team.. demps came back and took his job. regardless, it came down to nolans value as depth vs keos value as a special teamer and with them trading mcmanis i believe keo making the team was marcianos call. i dont see keo taking defensive snaps anyway, if we see any issues with depth i see pleasant being called up should demps, manning, or quin miss any time. both nolan and keo are upgradable and i believe pleasant is that guy, he'll be valuable as the 4th safety and a special teamer.. but right now i believe theyre comfortable with what they get from keo on ST..
any news on DJ Bryant? I know he got cut, but did any team claim him? He was a beast in the preseason...would be nice to have him on the PS.
Edit: Jets are taking a look. _________________________________ Not sure if he caught on elsewhere. Don't think he'll be coming back here. Already 7 signed to the PS and Nick Scurfield said they like Delano Johnson more than Bryant(hence DJ on the PS and Bryant a FA.)
