If you have DirecTv, you can. Costs $13.99 to get their Sports Pack.

But the Rockets games will be blacked out in that market. Astros games will be shown there, though.

Any idea where you can look up blackout regions by, say, zip code?

If you are living in Dallas, it would have to be because you are incarcerated there. I would ask the warden what his plans are.

Won't be any different than the old days. If you didn't get them on FSSW, you won't get them on Root. Central Texas is still stuck with the Spurs.

Okay, so I'm in Spurs and Stros/Rangers country.

Can I see Stros & Rockets games on ROOT via DirecTV if I buy their sports package?

Nope. It would still only be via League Pass.

Now i see why I didn't get blacked out for rockets games on NBATV and league pass(when i got the free preview) these past couple of years...my zip code doesn't block out the Rockets for some reason (77407 between richmond and katy).

The Rockets will be blacked out only if my "home" NBA team is playing?

I assume that Rocket game replays (at 3 am or some such) will not be blacked out.

Nope. Just like old league pass rules. If you aren't in the right market for that team(Based on sometimes strange boundaries) you can't watch it without league pass. Good news is if that's the case you don't have to do both. If you are out of local Houston market, you can just get league pass and you will be able to see the games even if the feed is RSH. No need to pay the extra money for the sports networks package....

Last night I couldn't watch the Mavs/Kings game. I promise you I'm not in Dallas or Sacramento. :)

Those games get blacked out outside of the territory. Same way I can't watch other teams play on RSN's elsewhere...even if I have the RSN.

What good are these Regional Sports Networks then? Why would someone pay DirecTv $14/month for it?

There's programming on there other than the live games that are blacked out.

Including, like RM95 said, college games.
