What? If Nix is our only bust that would be a GREAT thing. His knees are to weak and damaged to do proper technique TBH
He dropped far in the draft (no telling how far if we hadn't swooped in). He has poor technique. He's over 320 bills. What do you blame it on? Rust? He's raw? He was the best NT, no way he's raw.
He's a rookie. He's a nose tackle. Seriously, are we THAT used to Kubiak and Wade Phillips' undersized nose tackles to the point where we don't realize that they are SUPPOSED to be over 320?
Poor posting. 320-that's called a 2 gap NT He has inconsistent technique. Film shows inconsistency. Scouts rated him a first round grade as a player who will only play 30-40 percent of the snaps. He's also a rookie and you are proclaiming him to be a bust based off a random tweet. Bad post is bad.
He would have been taken by Green Bay 2 spots later. Poor technique? lol He's a NT. He's supposed to be that weight.
I agree, even Dontari Poe was bad his first year. We wont be able to even gauge the ceiling for this draft until 2015. Clowney and sua filo should flash this year, but beyond that the rest is gravy for 2014. Amd as far as hit rate for these guys, color me more impressed by Nix than Savage. I'm gonna trust the judgement of the guy who also helped choose Wilfork and Poe than a guy who fell into a situation where Brady was already a superstar. Really O'Brien is a LB who got labeled a QB guru because he happened to yell at Brady once. Ok he gets some credit for McGloin.
I guess Mike McCarthy isn't a good head coach because Rodgers is making him look good. I guess Bill is a bad HC because he lucked into Tom Brady.

We should start a list of players who looked really good in past Texan's mini-camp/OTAs but didn't quite pan out.
I just remember that during preseason last year, so many fans thought we'd be able to trade Keenum or Yates for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. LOL.
Dorin Dickerson For what he accomplished in the preseason, I never thought Earl Mitchell lived up to his potential.
I think y'all are discrediting BOB a bit there. The year he was in NE, Brady won MVP. McGloin also broke numerous records. I'm more confident in his QB coaching than Kubiak.
Except that Kubiak was actually an NFL QB.... and is the one ultimately responsible for everybody's "savior" in Keenum even being in the NFL (let alone starting games). That being said, people criticizing BOB's QB-coaching skills simply because he lucked into Brady is ridiculous. Brady has benefitted from constant changes in schemes/approaches based on his skills/diminishing skills/changing personnel that involves a whole lot of coaching involvement.
