MacMahon doesn't play around. This is not the first time he's held Rick's feet to the fire after a game...both instances involving Rondo and playing time down the stretch of a game. He seems to be far less of a fan and much more of a journalist.
It wouldn't be a surprise to me if the reporter was Tim McMahon. If you think Carlisle was shooting daggers well I can bet McMahon wasn't backing down and was looking equally pissed off and emboldened. The dude has zero chill and doesn't back down lol.
I called this as soon as the trade happened and multiple times since. Rondo, given his style of play, is over the hill and coming off a major injury. He ranks amongst the worst shooting PGs in league history, and yet these Dallas fans were talking title when they got him Not to mention he's a prima donna with a huge ego that doesn't match his actual worth at all. Dallas stays making hasty moves to try to get back in contention and they shot themselves in the foot. Hell, they could've had Dragic who fits their system perfectly if they just waited Fools. Dallas BBQ...

So the question is how does this affect his value as a free agent. He is in decline as a player and is now burning bridges at his second NBA team. I wouldn't touch the guy with a ten foot pole (or an eight figure a year contract). I could see LA teaming him up with Kobe but not on a long term deal knowing that Kobe most likely won't be around to keep him in check beyond next season.
Not analytics. It's chemistry. It's chemistry. Can you believe that we are talking about chemistry? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Mavericks announce they have suspended Rajon Rondo 1 game for conduct detrimental to team. <a href="http://t.co/S2oWiUUETO">pic.twitter.com/S2oWiUUETO</a></p>— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) <a href="https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/570705732372443136">February 25, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If anyone is interested.... Rondo is shooting 28% from the free throw line in Dallas... (that isn't a typo).... and 30% from the free throw line overall. Effort and practice plays a part in this.... there is absolutely no reason for Rajon Rondo to be shooting at a level that is simply unacceptable. He is a career 62% free throw shooter.... he is hitting less than HALF that now.
