Rather have Chuck Hayes if we can get him from Toronto, but sure let's try because life is like a box of chocolates.

Metta World Peace had his meniscus removed... Dude was already degenerating and now it will be worse. It's over for him. He has nothing to offer.

He can clothesline the opposing team's star player in playoffs to take them out of the picture and it won't even be suspicious because it's MWP!

He can be useful as a veteran leader type of player, someone the Rockets lack.

His name is Ron Artest. But of course, Ron Artest no longer exists.

The biological organism that currently calls itself Metta World Peace is not Ron Artest. It is a shadow of Ron Artest. If it was the same MWP that elbowed James Harden in the head then I might very well be happy to have Ron Artest back on this team. But that Ron is gone, and now there is only Peace.

And Peace sucks. If Peace can't defend and start fights with fans, then what good is Peace?

The dude is done. Sure, he will probably land on some team somewhere. But please, not on ours. Not now, not without a time machine.

Didn't someone make a thread on acquiring a defensive 3 or 4 bruiser?

Was the thread about a defensive 3 or 4 bruiser who was over the hill, mentally insane, more or less broken physically in comparison to his former self, and could not longer contribute meaningfully to his team? Is so the threads should definitely be merged.

Would you rather have dikembe mutombo or MWP? Not talking about prime, talking about current.

I've started another thread about MWP but some here doesn't want him. I want him back. Morey, give him a chance!

Has been successfully playing 37% of his minutes in New York this season at PF, and New York has been 8.3 points better defensively (per 100 possessions) while MWP is on the floor. Considering how teams are starting to figure out that they can leave Terrence Jones wide open instead of foolishly biting on his pump fakes, I think MWP could bring some security and championship experience which could really prove useful in the playoffs.
