+1 Bleh, the beginning was making it seem like a great interview, and how it has let me down. Basic "dood artest how do u feel about that pistons v pacer brawl, i like cheez doodles."
Man, hearing a guy like that speak so passionately about our team gets me fired up. I feel like putting on some shorts and sneakers and shooting some hoops in my front yard after that interview.
This guy has the right attitude that the team needs.... No more ... "If we at least make the playoffs...."... "If we at least make it out of the 1st round...." etc... The Rox have the ppl to WIN!!!! so they should be talking about winning...
Of course, ESPN tries to make his past mistakes look like scenes out of Friday the 13th. Oh, the horror!!! They were trying to play doctor, overanalyzing Ron's past and trying to figure out if he "gets it" now. All that matters is the future. Ron is not a murderer or a terrorist. He's an over the top athlete. Big deal, let's play ball.
Exactly, and now he doesnt feel like he has to be the man. As he said himself "This is the happisest Ive been in my 11 year career." Hes happy, he got 2 other superstars behind him.
Seriously...what sucks is that I'm sure for much of the next few months they are going to be watching with a microscope at anything that Yao and Artest do together and overanalyze it to make something out of it. Media really likes to provoke crap that isn't even there, but I guess that's what comes with the territory of having Ron Artest on the team. They're going to blow anything they can out of proportion to make a story out of it. Now if you'll excuse me...I haven't heard or seen any Brett Favre coverage in almost 5 minutes. I hear that in the next segment they're going to compare him to Alf.
I just hope we see that face he had throughout the interview.. the next time Boozer knocks out a tooth out of one of our players...
