Announced before the game, Carlos Rogers decided to forego surgery and continue to play. He has a torn tendon which will cause him pain, but he is going to knuckle up and deal with it. What a guy!! I knew once I saw him in the Rockets scrimmage before the season, when he scored 34 that he was something special. He can do it all!! I think Rogers has taken Mario's place as the Rockets "Junkyard Dog" ------------------ Tanking is not acceptable. End of story.
Thanks for the info 'Pimp ... the Chronicle had reported late last night it was still up in the air so good to hear Rogers' season isn't over. I'm not sure if it's the best decision if it really does require surgery, but I'll trust his decision (especially if he's playing today ... damn he must be ready to go)
thanks pimp... i saw a rogers jersey on the court and jumped to the BBS to find the scoop. to be honest, the first i recognized it was the alley-oop replay of francis dunking on sabonis. afterwards, rogers was jawing with sabonis. welcome back carlos. I wonder how bad it is, it is quite impressive that he is playing. DaDakota [This message has been edited by DaDakota (edited January 18, 2000).]
