I like the idea of what he and Beverly can do on the floor together in terms disrupting the opponent's offense and rhythm. I mentioned him awhile back. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8099019&postcount=20
This is the guy with the terrible looking jumpshot due to a previous elbow injury if I remember correctly. Who knows if he'll get any minutes but could be a nice backup wing defender in case Garcia gets hurt.

Morey is doing the right thing by creating competition. We gotta also thank Les for giving us the opportunity to give partially guaranteed deals to players that might not even make the team.
A wing defender with experience, I like it. I think as fans we should face the fact that the Rox are going to cut a player that may contribute on someone else's team. A lot of nice players & not enough roster spots.
I don't see why the Rox gave him a guaranteed contract. He was night and day with the Knicks, first couple of months his jumper was falling, last couple of months couldn't hit anything. They couldn't wait to dump him for a low second rounder despite his 1 yr/vet min contract.
You forgot Marcus Camby; Brewer is our 16th player assuming we're going to cut Covington, Henriquez and Young.

With so many quality roe player wings, I think some of them will move to SF in the depth chart, making our bigger SFs move to stretch PF's. Casspi is for sure playing PF this year. This means Covington and that Henriquez kid are getting cut, hence why the signing of Camby. We've got 2 starting caliber C's and one that used to be starting caliber and can hopfully still contribute. What do we need Henriquez for? If Dwight can also move to PF for about 5-10 mins a game and Casspi plays PF, then we don't need the PF depth that Covington provides. A PF rotation of Casspi, D-Mo, T-Jones, G-Smith and the occasional Dwight will be more than enough minutes. Let's also add Parsons in a small ball line up at PF since we have so many wings who can play SF. Our SF position then has the depth of Parsons, and just about every bench wing we have. Brewer's defense makes him a viable SF regardless of his size. Garcia and Reggie can both play SF too. This is a true multi-positional roster: We can play small (Bev, Harden, Brewer, Parsons, D-Mo/Smith) We can play HUGE (Harden, Garcia, Parsons, Dwight, Asik) Or do anything in between. WE CAN DO IT ALL! We're still not perfect, but this team is strong and better than some media outlets make us out to be (probably LA outlets).
