It was cool in 2009 but now its very outdated. I don't understand why Morey, Les and the higher ups are so resistant to change. Should have gotten new jerseys and court design when Howard came to town.
So, they're saying that it because it eschews big, gaudy, colorful logos taking up the entire center of the court, and doesn't do a fill with the same gaudy colors on the inside of the paint, that it's boring, and boring means "atrocious" in their mind. Aside from maybe too many logos on the court, I kind of like that the basketball court...is just a basketball court. The two-tone wood delineates the different parts of the court in lieu of going ape**** with the MS Paint paintbucket everywhere. Our logo is our logo. It's not that great, but it has to go on the court, and that shouldn't affect how they view the court. We haven't decided to change our logo, yet, so what can we do? Some of those courts are nasty looking; ours is just sort of a classic, simple court. Growing I never played on a court with the paint filled in, and we still knew where that area was. These people are idiots. They probably love the godawful, hideous courts that are getting installed all over college arenas nowadays.
How about we rank arena names next? :grin: Vivint Smart Home Arena? Sleep Train Arena? Talking Stick Resort Arena? Smoothie King Center?
Our Logo, Court, Uniforms, everything all hideous we've all known this for awhile. But at the end of the day who cares. I just want the Rockets to play defense on that court I could care less how its designed.
Now I disagree. Hawks and Hornets have two of the best courts imo. They are some of the few that stick out in a good way from the pack of mediocre courts. They do actually elevate the viewing experience..for me. Most of the courts do not.
I tried to find a court that really stood out as awesome to me and no luck. I guess I liked the 76ers the best. In any case, a design judging panel that picked the below 2 as the best courts really has no business doing anything with design. They're hideous.
Geez! Can someone spoiler their giant images?? On topic, I think the "rating" is absurd. While our court is nothing special, except for being our home court (which makes it special regardless of how it looks), and could use improving aesthetically, it is far from being as bad as these clowns make it out to be, in my humble opinion.
