uhh, man asik cost lee and 8 mill. Im not so sure in that, we better not leave this off season with just asik. I mean, now we cant trade martin without receiving another starting quality SG...i'm not even sure martin could get us a starting quality SG. So with this move we loose lee, and the ability to trade martin while having to pay asik 8 mill. Thats hurts, thats the difference between howard/gordan and nothing. I have a feeing were going to be walking out with nothing but asik and maybe a resigned camby. Doubtful lin will sign here, lowry still wants out...dragic is gone/out of control with his contract.

    Huh?

I would've thought Lee was the 'mediocre' option.

This particular move smells like tanking or getting a star.

There's Eric Gordon, you can amnesty Martin and go after O.J. Mayo (why has nothing been mentioned of him? he's a UFA), etc...

I loved what Courtney brought to the court. He was definitely one of my favorite players this last season, but if this needs to be done to help fulfill Morey's bigger picture then so be it.

It's been a wild week since the draft, and I'm both excited and nervous to see how this offseason plays out.

They must REALLY believe in Asik if they think he's worth all that. You know Morey hates wasting an asset like he is right now with Lee. Let's hope they're right and Asik becomes one hell of a starting center.

heres one way to think of it:

lee can only prevent the man hes guarding from getting to the rim.
asik protects the rim from anyone who drives past their man on the perimeter.

thats if we get asik that is

why can't you people grasp the fact that Morey is from NOT. this is chess. every move means something. like dalembert for lebronlike Royce White.

I thought this was exactly what ClutchFans BBS wanted--to get rid of all the proven, OK players and throw a bunch of young guys with upside onto the court.

Morey's doing exactly what you want... going after 24 year old Jeremy Lin & unproven, monster-tools Omer Asik, clearing space for draft guys to play.

    Sometimes he just can't win.

If he does get Eric Gordon you know all of you will be f*llating him.
