    Great point. This is the reason why I still have hope that we will indeed make the playoffs. If we can stay over .500 with that rough first half season schedule that we had, then we should be able to finish out the rest of the season strong.

    A team that started in rebuilding mode, gutted, major trade piece DAYS before the season start (star player wasn't with the team for summer league), mid-season trade with starting role players and we are still in the 7th seed. I think most people here have been spoiled this season because we have exceeded expectations but hope I have opened a few eyes after spelling it out.

    assuming (big big one) Rockets beat GS twice,
    #6 Rockets
    #7 Warriors
    #8 Lakers

    Jazz have just about no chance of making the playoffs, just can't see it

    Did you check the date? Did it get time stamped 4/12?

    I think the Rockets will probably make the playoffs, but if they don't, I am fine with it. This is supposed to be a rebuild year anyways.

    I feel only the Rockets capable to stop Heats this year, I know we have lost both games to them this year, but in every HERO story, the good guys always suffer a little setback before they kick the EVIL out of the universe.

    Have to do this, Harden/Lin/Parsons/Dmo/Asik, fantastic 5, save the humanity from those south beach mutants!!!!

    You think we'll go 4-0 against Phoenix?

    The team we had in the first half is different from the team we have now.

    It took them quite some time to gel and now all of a sudden there's a huge mix up. Also, McHale missed a lot of time in the beginning (for good reason of course) and it was the talents of the players that carried the team this far.

    Last year we were poised to be in the playoffs as well and then look what happened (and last year's team was better). So I'm definitely trying to be optimistic, but seeing how strange the rotations have become, I fear there is a growing dysfunction among this team.

    Theoretically we should but it's hard to go 4-0 against any team, especially in such a short time period......unless it's the Nuggets/Clippers against the Rockets.

    No way Lakers only go 11-9. They will go at least 14-6.

    Their losses in the last 20 games

    @PHX
    @Boston
    @Miami
    Clippers
    @Denver
    @OKC

    One bad road loss, and only one home loss against a team that plays in the same arena.

    i believe we either barely get 8th seed or barely miss the playoff. it is my gut feeling.

    I see the key number being 12 more wins at the very least for the Rockets.

    If I had to project, 11-9 looks about right when you factor in the Rockets winning the games they are supposed to win, losing to good teams, winning a few they aren't supposed to, and losing a few they aren't supposed to(sort of a wash)

    Team that you would think would be in a tank fest, might not be so willing to tank games one might think.

    All I know is anyone thinking the Rockets are just going to breeze their way in the playoffs is underestimating how vulnerable this team really is. They have alot of games against teams fighting for playoff position with the Rockets. Those teams will gameplan extensively to find out how to stop the Rockets offense. As last year showed, once one team figured it out... the Rest of the teams paying attention followed suit.

    Getting to 12 more wins in the next 6 weeks is going to be a huge challenge for this team. Somebody or multiple players are going to need to take their game to another level to push this team into the playoffs.

    I'll say we'll match up with OKC. If they're the one seed, we'll be 8th, etc.
