I heard on 610 about 30 minutes ago that the Rockets are going to waive Alton Ford. Maybe to make room for Charlie Ward? Or what I'm praying for.....Bring back Torraye Braggs!

maybe a trade gonna go down. Theres only one person on the injured list, so they didnt have to waive alton ford.

Well Ford was good. But he wasn't playing anyways. I liked how he hustles and rebounds. He'll be back. :p

yeah give that time to spoon, see what hes got left, and pick up ward. as an 'at least' situation its not bad.

if theres a trade coming, then im really excited. GMs seem like theyre getting dumber every year. trades are more frequently becoming lopsided because of expiring contracts now being a sought after comodity. but the players involved always are lightyears apart.

id be thrilled to get marion, max contract and all. the times they are a changin and i wouldnt be surprised if it went down.... surprisingly.

It's got to be for Ward. They could have moved Ford or Wilks to the IR, but I guess they figured they might as well cut Ford since there's already five big men on the roster ahead of him.

I think it has to do with non-guaranteed contracts becoming guaranteed this week. Which again proves what we all know: Les is a cheap b*stard!

That's exactly what it is. Look around the league. Several teams have waived players today due to the deadline whereby non-guaranteed contracts become guaranteed for the remainder of the season unless the player is waived. Heck, Chicago just waived Linton Johnson, who started a bunch of games for them this season.

Sorry, I don't buy that 'Les is a cheap b*stard!' stuff. Question his ownership in many different ways, if you choose, but he has not been penurious with players.

I could not agree Less. Less is a cheap b*stard and his moves prove it.

BTW, I will be surprised if the Suns don't keep Ward for the remainder of the year, who the hell else is going to run point on that team? Eisley? He sucks.

Brown never was offered anything before he was gone to detroit. That had nothing to do with Les being cheap.

Posey was overpriced in most people's opinion. Griz were really the only ones trying so hard to get him. Between Pike and AG they paid out the money. That's just trying to get more for the same $, not being cheap...
