Rockets waive Tarik Black

Yes. They have his D-League rights because he played for the Rockets last.

 

Come on, Dorsey was pretty good lately. He sucks on offense, but he is decent on D. He's more than earned his contract. Who cares if he sucked during the preseason?
I am more comfortable with Dorsey as the backup C than Black because Dorsey is better at setting screens and playing D.


I wish Black the best because he's a good player, and impresses me a lot with his energy getting those offensive rebounds, but Dorsey is more solid.

 

But if some team picks him off waivers, his rocket rights with dleague are gone. He will be picked up

 

I agree. Dorsey established himself as the best defensive center in Euro ball. He just needed to catch up to the speed here in the NBA. He's getting it, and he is doing better. I think that Dorsey will be fine as 6 hard fouls on the bench waiting to happen!!!

loved his hustle. if only his thumb wasnt injured i think dorsey would be out.

 

Tarik has left me speechless. His love for Houston, is very touching. I want him to succeed in the NBA.

 

Talent wise, Dorsey and Black were honestly a toss up, but one's contract was more favorable to cut than the other. That being said, I have no doubt he will be claimed because of his shown ability to get offensive boards and hustle. Good luck to you Mr. Black, and I wish you the best.

If he doesn't find another team soon, I wouldn't be surprised if we resign him at some point.

 

Dorsey is gone one or the other way when someone cheap and better will present himself.

 

I like Black. I hope he comes back some day. In my opinion when you already have offensive and defensive talent, you need chemistry guys. Black was it. J-Smoove is not. I know DHoward had a lot of influence on this but this move is questionable. But....I hope I'm wrong. We need to minimize Josh's weaknesses and accentuate his strengths

 

Hope he eventually finds his way back here. I'm already developing a respect for him like I have for AB

 

Hope he ends up in Cleveland. They could use a big-man like T.Black.
