He'll go to a winning team that's for sure. I hated to see him go, it wasn't for basketball reasons. Joey Dorsey is an inferior player right now, once you consider his FT%. But that contract being guaranteed into 2016 likely did it.

Well, as a Rocket fan I hope Dorsey improves his play and that we can re-sign Black at some point. But as a basketball fan I hope Black does well and ESPECIALLY that Dallas does not pick him up lol.

Good Luck Tarik! I am sure Cleveland will be the front runners to claim off the waiver list. He will do well for them IF they do.

Good, it makes more sense to cut him than Dorsey since Dorsey is better as insurance.

Let's get Smith signed and on the court! As a Kansas fan, I loved watching Tarik get some PT as an underdog for a contender in the West. Good luck Tarik

Tough to cut a young guy like that, but this was the pragmatic decision. I prefer him to Dorsey, but Dorsey has that damn guaranteed contract that has saved him twice now.

Wish him the best of luck, boy certainly busts his ass. Hopefully he heads out east and earns himself a job.

Doubt it. I believe waiver claims go in reverse order of record. Worst team gets first claim.

Oh thanks for the clear up, I didn't read the fine print .

Regardless will root for the guy where ever he ends up. Even Dallas:rolleyes:. but thank goodness for the waiver.

Damn that sucks especially during the holidays, but he has a place in the league somebody will claim him. Dude works his ass off and was playing through injury for us. Maybe we can bring him back one day.

For an undrafated rookie, he could contribute as second string on any team.

Sucks that he became the odd man out, But it was expected

Yeah, let's just feel good about giving him exposure in the NBA. It should help his career.

I'm sure the Vipers can make room for him, if nobody claims him.

WTF, why are people be so worried about Dallas picking him up?

He's not very good. Seems like a good guy, hard worker, but he's simply not a very good basketball player.
