I had a full, in-depth post to address the Fraudman stuff, but I'm exhausted. I have thick skin, even with the radiation (I keed I keed), but I want to clarify a few things about this FRUADMAN mention in this thread, among other stuff...

Straight up, even as trustworthy as my Ears are, along with agents, players, friends, a few reporters, Priority, etc, things don't always go exactly as planned. And truthfully, the frustration from some seems to be that I cannot give the exact time, date, sometimes every player and all the inside information that a fan desires. What you anticipate to happen on your time does not matter to this league.

That's not me being a jerk, but it's how it comes across once in awhile when posters take shots at me, joking or not. (I'll get to that)

This post is not for praise or for me to boast, complain or start anything less than great for discussion. Although, if it were asked, I would stop posting Ear info if asked. I'm cool with that.

We've got great things going on this team/org. But, with a break from my binge on Season 7 of Shameless (OMG right now...lol) , I felt compelled to write a brief response. (Brief as in "brief" for me. Sorry, again) Also, I use "EARS" as I always have, in many contexts. But that's the best way to describe my life that's tied to all of this. I've got ears of my own that listen and I've got Ears around the league who speak to my ears sometimes. Simple, and lame. :)

    Sad Laughs/Funny Laughs to start:

I still have hatemail from our trade deadline ordeal with Taj Gibson. I kept implying he was our big that we were going for, (****, I was excited for Ne to get some help when Clint couldn't catch anything) along with a shooter (later known to be "Dougie McDermmy") I got that directly from an Ear.

So, literally, and hour or so before we were getting rid of he Disgruntled Bench High-Flyer named KJ(who I CONSISTENTLY) told you guys was known as the guy who wouldn't clap/support others because of minutes (goes back to McHale days), COREY FREAKING BREWER (Who I promised in my sig would find greener pastures.,,poor guy just lost it),along with cash, Ennis and a possible filler, things changed drastically. Taj would have been amazing on this team during our playoff run, as would Doug. However, in the last hour, OKC swooped in with what was seen as the superior offer.

(Sounds like this whole PG13 deal which will cause awful drama (get your popcorn when PG tries to be the man, and Russ starts shooting 60 shots and ignoring everyone not named Russ./rant)

The kicker? The Rockets and James REFUSED to include Pat BEverly in the trade. Chicago then said no thank you.

I have gone over this before, and as much as the Great Mahal would have helped us, I get why Pat was too good to let go of.

What you need to know, as well is: when I put aside my profession, Ears, and ties, I have the natural emotion of disappointment and feeling upset that I wasn't able to deliver to you, the best fans in the world, the info/Ears that had a deal completion of 92%. I consider stopping posting the good Ears/info to avoid pissing people off. I don't enjoy that...there are guys who like to bait/troll..I don't do that (usually...Jeremy Lin topics are fair game)

Continued...because it said I had to shorten it:

So, again, I hate saying "things are fluid" because it's cliched and so safe, but the deal that I would have bet a Dwight Howard 9/10 at the line fell through. I apologize for that, and things that haven't gone our way.

I have great relationships all over the realm of Basketball, but I'm not above apologizing when things I share don't pan out. Do I think I owe an apology each time? Nah.

Why? Before I write a something with legs or a rumor, I go through and select ONLY the ones that have the strongest backing by my relationships. If I posted EVERYTHING I heard, it would be ridiculous. Mind you, I hear all sorts of stuff from around the league, not just the Rockets. So, I try to stick with what Ears(at that moment and previously) seem strongest. That's, I guess, my way of posting allegations with respect to posters and Clutchfans.net

Back to the Same time frame Trade: As the Bulls started ignoring the rockets' FO, we went after our shooter, who depending on who you talk to, was our 2nd choice during the deadline. Morey FIRST wanted a big to fit in MDA's offense (Taj would have.)
Anyway, weeks/month before the deadline I kept mentioning that the Rockets were looking at a certain "SweetLou" to add to the team. I thought that was obvious, and yes, I had fun using it with the similar name of a poster I enjoy reading from: @sweetlou (My favorite poster is Lhutz ;) )That trade ended up being one of the best I've seen Morey pull off in awhile. My point: I told you what my Ears were saying, but a month or two before. *Both in sig and in posts.

Again, I'm not looking for praise. If anything, I feel like I'm addressing ANY frustration towards the Ears/Info/Developing(s) I hear and share.

So, again, when I'm not completely accurate (happens), I guess it's easy to go at me instead of the people in control of player movement. Just understand, I reported what I heard, it was legitimate (or I wouldn't bother) and it happened. But, maybe not on your preferred time frame.

I'll clarify that point to FREEBIRDS---A term I use often for many, many, many, many reasons. When I used that term last season, maybe before and thereafter, I attempted to leave the cryptic alone (risky) and gave you guys teams with bird-related logos. From there, I became more specific about guys who wanted out. I knew about our quest for EGO and Fly Ry for awhile. I just didn't name them immediately for reasons mentioned above. Freebirds also referred to the IMPLOSION on the Hawks (birds) and as you know, we were after Paul Milsap for awhile, including this offseason. We were on his list, but it didn't work out. You can blame me, again, but as I was told by a person close to Paul, we had a great chance at Sap. And about that implosion, Dwight Howard was dumped, and as you all predicted by experience, it was because he hated sharing the floor with Dwight. That locker room was a mess early on as Dwight believed it was his "team" again because of his ATL connect. (not important, sorry...just good story told)

There are many FREEBIRDs from the past that I've mentioned (and many right now) but I'll reiterate the FreeBird we acquired named Josh Smith, JSmoov, WCF Savior if you may. I mentioned him a few times as a FreeBird who wanted out of the lights and bench, but I finally said the Smithsonian to be as direct as I could without harming my ties or our chances by accidentally leaking something online. As you know, Clutchfans is the, deservedly, number one fan site online and so many press, players, agents, etc read from here. No, I don't know....:)
Anyway, JSmoove came in and had a great run for us, both times. Because he's overseas, I can say this without hurting anyone. I know Josh personally. In an exchange 2-3 weeks before he was sent here (on a favor really), I communicated with him and he said that he was being let loose. He was happy, but nervous because he didn't know where at the time. Other offers, I suppose. Then, a few days before, I get a text that says, "I'm back in the H, my ____(sic)!!!!" That's how that FREEBIRD ended up back here. :)

There are plenty of things I could address in the context of FRAUDMAN, but, here's the last funny one:

@ROXTXIA will tell you about a jinx I developed during the times where I had Ears telling me that we were close to acquiring Noah and Jarrett Jack. Shortly after I suggested this and some news corps mentioned ideas...both guys had season-ending injuries. I'm very superstitious, so I refused to be so direct. :) BTW, @ROXTXIA, nothing but love. Thanks for your kinds words, time after time.

As for this current offseason, I've been a mix of cryptic (you should understand why to a point) and direct. My sig is an easy way to look at what my EARS are discussing in SERIOUS contexts. As I have mentioned, my health is not great. I'm fighting hard. Things were supposed to improve, but I hit a complication. That sig is my well, lazier way, of what I've done previously. Everything on there has been/or is relevant with legs, even if the legs are shorter than others. (That sounded inappropriate)

This is not just Bill Ingram ****..excuse my language. I have not come back to Melo thread one through 10,00 because I'm waiting for...a few things. But this board is crazy intelligent. You all do enough research to decipher possibilities and knock down the BS. I'll just say this. After Hayward, every team is waiting on the Melo stuff. Sure, other signings are happening, but Melo is Melo. Today is supposed to be significant, but it may not be...(not necess. that he's coming here today...)

This post is probably not necessary, but I've seen a few grenades at me, so I'll play a little bit.

I'll just end with this: I have never once said that I am an insider. I don't believe I have ever started a thread with "Sources say..." or "My sources tell me that...". I am not Woj/Sham. I am not in the same, AWESOME realm of Clutch/Will. I am not in the same circle as CyberX, who is comfortable being known as the BBS Insider. Even StevieRebel (correct me if I'm wrong) could be an insider for all I know. JR is on top of EVERYTHING and @BimaThug well, he should be signed to the Rockets or ESPN because the guy's understanding of ball and finances is impeccable. BTW, @BimaThug sent me an amazing message about NeNe's previous contract issue. Ne will never come out and say it, but he was pissed, even though he was told early on that the Rox would try to quickly resolve. STILL, he began listening to ears. And lord, lord, lord, Lauren in her high-pitched, Real Housewives of Denver voice was thrilled with the Rockets.

TL/DR: The NBA is crazy. Codman reports what's true. Sometimes it doesn't work. You have the right to hate, but consider your own cognition.

I'll be up for a little bit, but just know this:

    I love ya'll. I mean that. :)

I've received some amazing messages about my health that have really meant a lot to me. I printed them out and I read them when I worry about time. In terms of basketball, I could read this board all day, from the intelligent discussion, banter, disagreements, HILARIOUS pictures, Clutch/Fam's podcasts, CyberThreads, Underrated posts by Will and JR, Ricky freakin' Rubio, thread dedicated to JLin, People stalking Melo's flights, reading the hangout's epic thread about some guy and his plans to meet with an escort from backpage, arguing about DMo (BTW, he should take AD/Boogie's minutes...he has his rights), hoping DocRocket returns one day, etc. There's so much more...so yeah, it's all love.

Even with the hate, I'm thankful for all of it. And, I'm thankful for Clutch for allowing me to post here.

Thanks for reading, if you had the time for an essay.

Pardon the many errors. I can't see much of anything.

In my fashion, here is your currently discussed thinking going on in the leauge:

XXXXXXXOOOOOOO ≥ and ≤ product of Sieve of Eratosthenes. Get on it...it's easy.:)

Cod, I can't speak for everyone, but as a 99er who has been here mostly reading for 18 years, it's posters like you that make this such as great site. There will always be haters and naysayers in our lives. I've learned to just let them go. Since 2nd grade I've lived my life by some simple advice my mother gave me, "Do your best each and everyday, and the rest will take care of itself."

For anyone that has been around sports, business, war, etc; we know that when bullets start flying, plans change. Your insights give us "just fans" a glimpse into what is happening and being discussed behind the scenes. Those insights are precious to some of us, and we do not want to lose them, nor you. Hang tough brother and keep sharing the EARS.

For you complainers, you do not have to read, believe and most of all comment on posters like Cod. Challenging the merits of a potential deal and debating the benefits to our team makes for fantastic reading. Going after folks on a personal level, really doesn't enrich the forum.

I'm not a mod, so you can tell me to **** off, but I did spend 25 years of my life defending this country, so I'm not afraid to speak up when something is wrong. Cod feeling he had to write the posts above is not right. Let's cut this BS out and move on to things more Melo.

That's when you know you made it Cod is when you have haters. I read on here and don't post much, but if you have 99 guys who love your info, 1 will always hate you. They are usually the most vocal, although annoying, but they have their own issues. Keep doing what your'e doing and the quiet ones like me will always appreciate it.

Let them hate, it's the only thing that makes them happy. (which is sad) Only way they can keep their heads up is if they put someone down. Good luck with radiation, I see many a day with chemo and it sucks to hell.

@Codman Please keep in mind that for every non-believer there are hundreds of us who support you and understand that what you report to us is never 100% until it's filed with the league office. Even the stuff that doesn't pan out just shows us how hard Morey works (maybe Rick Smith should shadow Morey for a day to see how the job is really done).

Please use the Ignore feature on posters who bother you. Let the rest of us stick up for you. If @DocRocket would have done that, he might still be around. Heck, crappy posters even ran off @cyberx as well, who only posts every once in awhile now.

    Thanks for all you contribute!

So 7 X's, 7 O's. Sieve of Eratosthenes is a method of finding small prime numbers. The product of the sieve I don't know. This one is stumping me anybody got any ideas? I mean the 7 seems significant to melo but I'm not sure. Also Cod, best wishes to you sir I'm sorry you have to deal with haters but know we love you man!!! All the best to you

    Codman,

Thanks for the mention. I've been sick before (on a lesser scale), and have cancer survivors in my family. When you experience it firsthand you become more than sympathetic. Empathetic. So keep fighting the fight. I know the BBS becomes that much more important to you as a fan and as someone who likely can't always be physically active. I've been there.

As for the haters, well, douchers gonna douche, right?

    Peace out.

    http://www.ajc.com/sports/basketbal...ks-summer-league-team/deIh7jqaCpScuCZw4KnJ7I/

Ryan Kelly is back with the Hawks after a bizarre two weeks.

    Unfortunately, it won’t last.

Kelly had a non-guaranteed contract with the Hawks and was traded to the Rockets last week as they accumulated similar contracts to accommodate the acquisition of Chris Paul. Had the Rockets waived Kelly prior to July 1 he could have re-signed with the Hawks. That did not happen. He was finally waived by the Rockets on Friday.

Kelly joined the Hawks’ entry in the Las Vegas Summer League – in the second half of Sunday’s game after clearing waivers – in what can only be described as a weird transaction. He now must audition for the other NBA teams to try to find a landing spot.

Kelly is in the current predicament because the Rockets did not waive him when it appears was planned.

“We anticipated the way things were going to go I was going to be able to (re-sign with the Hawks),” Kelly said. “It didn’t come to fruition as expected. It’s certainly disappointing because I feel like I’ve built some good relationships (with the Hawks). That’s the nature of the business. People tell you one thing and do other things. I’ve got to go out and show what I can do to 28 other teams.”

“That was a new experience – both physically and mentally,” Kelly said with a smile.

Kelly appeared in just 16 games with the Hawks last season and averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.9 minutes. He’s hoping to open some eyes in Las Vegas.

“I didn’t play that much last year,” Kelly said. “It’s an opportunity for people to see me who haven’t seen me in a long time. There haven’t been people banging at the doors because I didn’t play a lot last year. That’s fine. There weren’t a lot of people banging on the door last year and I made a squad.”

Morey will acquire and waive Joe Anderson next week. By then Ryan (and) Anderson will be gone.
