Figured that would happen, Chase is back.... Now can we please send Taylor to the D-league, he needs PT desperatly. D
http://twitter.com/houstonrockets Rockets announce that they have waived forward Mike Harris. He has to clear waivers before club has chance to re-sign him to RGV Vipers.
Agreed about sending Taylor to the D League and bring back Von (if he gets healthy). I'm ready to roll with this team plus Wafer.
Well, Mike got a nice holidays bonus for his short stint, then returns to dominate the D-League. I am guessing he stays there until some team, Rockets or not, make a trade or suffers an injury.
Yep, I am sure he knew the deal coming in....... And I too want Von, but I think he is sidelined for a little while yet.... DD
What would we have done for the roster spot if we had signed Wafer and he was healthy? Sent down Taylor? Or just waived Wafer?
Assuming we can't get a decent deal for Tmac, and the team decides to buy him out or let him rot. I think Von comes back and Taylor goes down to the D-league. DD
Trade???? LOL, just kidding. That sucks for Mike but we have a lot of depth with Chase in the lineup as it is for the wing position.
Actually, Harris being waived TODAY has little to do with Budinger being back (although that certainly helps). Today is (effectively) the last day a player with a non-guaranteed contract can be waived before the player's contract becomes fully guaranteed. The deadline for the player to clear waivers is actually January 10, but since it falls on a Sunday this year, the effective date was moved back to Friday. Since it takes 48 hours to clear waivers, today (Wednesday) is the last day to waive non-guaranteed guys. The good news is that, starting yesterday (I think) players can be signed to 10-day contracts. Don't be surprised if Harris is re-signed later to a 10-day.
