Hope he got a nice parting gift from the Rockets, he was with Dwight the whole summer for his training and recovering. Decent guy.
I think that tweet is premature and should say "plan to waive" instead of "have waived". Makes no sense to release Powell today when he can be held (like Covington is being held) until Monday for a possible trade.
Covington and Powell are gone. New Johnson will be cut for sure. Still have to cut/trade two of the following: Garcia Ish Canaan Adrien Black I continue to contend that Dorsey isn't going anywhere. We can't trade him until December, and he's got guaranteed money through next year. One of Ish/Canaan is almost certainly gone. Ish would have to be cut. Canaan would have to be traded (guaranteed money next year). IF we keep Garcia (and the Houston media seems to think we will) one of Adrien or Black has to go. My guess is Black.
Didn't the Rockets waive players with a lot of money in guaranteed contracts just a couple years ago? What makes you guys think they won't waive a guy like Dorsey?
