On the surface, looks like a decent deal, but I know very little about him. I guess even small steps should celebrated at this point. We are so desperate to hear good news.

Rockets actually made there first good move of the offseason. They pickup another SF backup if or when McGrady goes down. Plus he can even play the SG and possible take the starting spot in a couple of years. Also this is great depth that we really needed. All we need now is another PG maybe a SG and backup PF. Excellent move Rockets.

Snyder will find out fast enough it's the JVG way or the bench.

One thing JVG said about Spreewell was that he overlooked alot of attitude issues with Spreewell because he was a very high BB IQ player and felt like they were at least on the same page during games.

I'm sure he'll do excellent job keeping the bench nice and warm...

Snyder would not have been my first choice for SG at the start of the off-season, but right now he looks very, very, very good. At last -- kudos to Rockets management! And the price is ..... a bargain!

I say he's in the Van Doghouse by February.

Actually suprised that the Hornets would send anyone to us.

I bet we gave up more than just a second round swap. I bet we gave up a protected 1st rounder.

I agree this sounds more like a mneyball decision but he does meet the non-rookie criteria.

The good part is we didnt give up any player. Just hope it's really a second rounder+ cash when it's official.

    Our new depth chart:

    Yao/Mutumbo
    Battier/Howard/Hayes
    T-Mac/Bowen
    Snyder/Head
    Alston/Sura

Four more slots left. T-Mac is back to playing 3.

Hmm, the first step for the management in this horrendous offseason. Now that SG/SF has T-Mac and Snyder, we have to sign John Lucas III, why? Because he's getting offers from the SUNS! we must snatch him from the Suns or else the offseason will go down another notch.

Guys, don't underestimate this move. This guy is a true athletic 2. We have been dying for a guy like this. Wesley is way over the hill. This is a huge upgrade at the 2. The Ricky Davis's and Jerry Stackhouses of the world won't be able to abuse this guy in the post.

Sura was a punk and we all love him. I'm not saying this guy's personality will help as much as Sura's did but it won't hurt either. BTW, I am sure he has matured since then and he will continue to since he is only 23!!!

Let's hope he is a solid defender.

I bet after the first week of season it will be

    Yao/Mutumbo
    Howard/Hayes
    Battier/T-Mac
    T-Mac/Snyder
    Alston/JLIII

I'm sure it was just the smaller TE and our 2007 2nd.

Snyder apparently said a racial slur to Jon Barry, so Sura went after him. Interesting stuff, but I'm sure they hold no hard feelings. I expect Snyder to be backing up Sura at the 2.

Drop Bowen. Substitute Novak and Padgett. Add JL3 to PG and it looks better.

I don't think we have our 2007 second.

First good move of the season. A long SG who is already a rotational player with a lot of upside. And considering that we got him for virtually nothing, I have to say that management got this one right ... for once.
