As a Rocket fan right thats not a bad idea

Seriously, you guys played this offseason up to be something special. We've lost 4 key contributors and you guys are celebrating getting Tony douglas, SMH. Not only that some of you actually still think aquiring all these assets will somehow land us Dwight. Um, failure. The allstar games coming to Houston and Morey seems more concerned with chasing Howard than the overrall well being of the team he's screwed up.

When next year comes and we're in the same position you'll continue making excuses and shifting blame off the genius GM. Have we got soft as Rocket fans?

Hey Carl, can these guys with non guaranteed contracts be flipped individually for cash or draft picks at any time? For example, let's say one of them looks good in Summer League, is there a waiting period before trading them individually, cause don't we need to clear some room for Asik or another free agent?

LOL i guess i don't really have a valid reason. I'm just one of those guys that always tries to downplay everything even though deep down I'm just as excited as everyone else.

Ive always been an irrational debbie downer, sorry about that. I admit to liking the trade since Morey did make something out of nothing, now lets what he's able to turn all these recent acquisitions into.Howard maybe?

harrelson and douglas have a chance to make the roster. harrelson is very active on the boards and on defense. douglas a solid defender and excellent shooter. he lost playing time because they needed a pg who can, well, dribble and pass. he's still young and can develop better pg skills.

So Camby goes to a team where he will be back up when he stressed he wanted to go to a place he would start! Looks like the Rockets lowballed everyone this offseason and they never planned to have any of the players Dragic, Lee & Camby back.

    Morey never gives up

and he must not be criticized since he is doing all his best (with Les unwillingness to tank) to get this team better
hope some fans here calm down

How can a sane person dislike this trade? Really surprised we got such a great package for Camby.

One thing to note: Unless they make a move today to reduce salary, the Rockets will need to waive some non-guaranteed guys before they can sign Asik and Lin to offer sheets. How many of them depends on what (if anything) they get back from a Courtney Lee trade. Most likely waiver candidates are Simpson and Fortson but they may also need to waive additional guys like Leuer, Harrellson and Jordan.

if we get Asik we will need a backup center..the only true center in the list is Jordan..seems pretty skilled. will be nice as a back up or even a starter..not a big fan of Asiks offensive skill set..

    That's pretty funny!

It would be hilarious if only Bud was still on the team.

Perhaps but it ain't like Houston got zero use out of Camby.

The difference in the value of Houston's 2nd rounder and the 2 NY 2nd rounders is the cost of having Camby play center for the Rockets this past season.

    IMO, it was worth it...

not a bad trade, considering we picked up a couple non guaranteed contracts and a player who is getting paid by another team.

If this is what we're running with, there's no question the Rockets are going to lose a lot of games. There's a huge silver lining in that though.
