The unknown player is DeMarre Carroll.

some fact checking is due, but if the draft happened today, the first round would be:

    OUR PICK:
    11. Alec Burks, G - Colorado*
    (10 is Jimmer Fredette, G - BYU, 12 is Tyler Honeycutt, G/F - UCLA)
Right to swap for NY's pick, which currently sits at 17th.

    PHOENIX'S PICK:
    13. Jan Vesely, PF - Czech*
If Phoenix lands in the lottery, then we get:
    23. Kemba Walker, G - UConn
(22 is Tristan Thompson, PF - Texas, 24 is Chris Singleton, PF - FSU)

    MEMPHIS'S PICK
    14. Jordan Hamilton, F - Texas
    (15 is Marcus Morris, F - Kansas)

These trades are late lotto... which could be effectively bundled to get a 1-5 pick. If not, we're definitely in Jimmer range :)

    Thanks for the info.

Evidently, it's nothing to get excited about.

Carroll wasn't even going to be kept past his rookie contract. I heard he sucked.

    Welcome back Hilton Armstrong.

Mr. Thabeet, welcome to the Rockets.
Now get comfortable with your new bff....the bench.

I suppose Shane wasn't a part of the long term, still great guy, lose one of the few defensive players we had, for a guy who everybody thinks sucks.

For the third time without a response, Memphis does NOT own it's 2011 1st rounder. I have no idea which 1st rounder they traded to us. Presumably 2013 or first available 1st to trade.

I have a sinking feeling about where this team is headed now that we traded away Battier. Goodbye to one of the remaining shreds of our defensive identity, not to mention his valuable leadership.

I don't understand all this crap about needing to trade Battier for something while we can. Battier has been a good soldier with us for five long years and wanted to stay a Rocket. There's no reason to trade him for a late first round pick just to milk one last drop out of his worth. If you need to trade him as part of a package deal for something big? Ok, understandable. But for Hasheem freakin Thabeet?! UGHH.

Thabeet is the anti-Battier. All the tools in the world, yet zero brain and zero heart. I hope Daryl Morey knows what he's doing. I always had the confidence he did, but now I'm not so sure.

    WTF!!!

One of the only defensive guys on our f'n team...Ok, i've calmed down...

I don't get all the hype about Morey...ok, we got a scrub and maybe a good 1st round pick for a rebuilding team for an aging defensive specialist with tons of intangibles...

This is what nbadraft.net has on the grizzles 2011 pick hopefully they make the platoffs and we got a unprotected 2011 first round pick form the grizzlies

"T'Wolves receive the Grizzlies' 2011 first-round pick, via the Jazz (Ronnie Brewer trade) (top 14 protected in 2011, top 12 protected in 2012, top 10 protected in 2013, top 9 protected in 2014 and 2015, if pick is not conveyed to the T'Wolves by 2015, the T'Wolves will instead receive cash considerations from the Grizzlies) (Al Jefferson trade 07-13-10)"
