This Machado, a diva want to be, can be that arrogant when he had no contract yet. He even said his games are better than JLin. What games? His college games are better than JLin's NBA games. LOL. Rockets sign him up can be risky for locker room and team ball issues. Hopefully I am wrong.
It's easy for a journalist to ask Machado a question in a certain way, edit his response in a certain way, and contextualize the edited response in a certain way -- all to make it sound like there is a news-worthy story here. But there's not. None of us know what question was asked, and what exactly Machado said. There's no story here; if there were, you would have seen the full transcript. The quote was paraphrased and/or taken out of context for a reason: bc you wouldn't give a **** otherwise. Move on. And btw, Machado's family is from Brazil. Saying that he's black is true but it also immensely simplifies everything as if blacks from Brazil think and act and have a self-identity just like African Americans, which obviously is not true. Get off the race thing, but if you're going to run with it, don't be all ignorant.
I really feel that you're wrong. They're both pretty committed to Christianity. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being great friends. I think that Machado's comments were very over-blown. Peace.
He has already shown success with the other rooks. He just has to continue to grow with the rest and he will be successful. That chemistry we saw in summer league means a lot more than people think. Especially if it carries over into the season.
the point is ,he's the best pg available 4 cheap 4 rockets at that time.and rockets do need a back up pg.as 2 whether he'll fit in nba we'll see.there'll be plenty of time for him to prove though.

this should be the answer.he's just speculating,from what i read. machado doesnt really know what's going with lin ,other than what all we know , have a meniscus surgery few months ago.if based on what the other poster said on morey on machado,IMO, i dont think the mgt see him as directly becoming 1st back up pg at least for the start of the season, so they may not tell him how is lin doing .they'll more likely to want him to break into the rotation 1st . I think lin's ok or otherwise i dont think he will get to pickup games .
We Lin Fans need more to listen to what Machado's talking. There are some journalists in NY medias rooting for against Lin. They can easily make anyone become an Lin hater or doubter by their Bad News Title. Now Machado is here, no one want Lin and Machado be opponents, unless you are a Houston Rockets's hater.
