I was a little worried when we lost both of our big, physical defenders over the past 2 days but it looks like Morey has that covered. Hopefully he can contribute enough in the regular season to make the playoff squad and be a valuable asset - like Quinton Ross and Trenton Hassell have been in years past. I consider a successful perimeter defender more valuable than someone like Head... who won't sniff much PT during the playoffs. Biggest question is how he plays on offense. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5560615.html Scouting Report - http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Bobby-Jones-351/
Bobby Jones - Is he as old as Charles Jones. . or is it Caldwell Jones Rocket River dunno anything about the guy
Now this is a good move. I've seen Bobby Jones play, and he is an SG/SF version of Chuck Hayes. Most likely he's gonna be matched up with Bonzi Wells tomorrow. I'm confident he'll shut Bonzi down.
Barry could have learned from Stackhouse. Had he mouthed off like Stackhouse, he would be still be a Spurs. He will eventually head back to Spurs but I am hoping he considers the Rockets.
10 day contract? Betcha he doesn't see a single minute of playing time. And how is anyone going to be able to come to our ball club, learn the system, and be able to contribute in such a short time. No, this is a "just in case" measure to protect us if one or more of our bigs get injured.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4165 He was drafted in 2006. This is only his 2nd year. The Rockets are getting younger and younger. You can tell JVG is not here anymore.
I liked Bobby Jones and thought he'd make it in the league. Sad to see him bouncing around now, but he had some really good game for Denver. He's a good defender and hustler and his standstill shot is somewhat of a threat. Poor man's Quinton Ross? Probably about on Head's level.
http://www.grizzblogs.com/index.php?/site/comments_kendrick/grizzlies_vs_sonics_recap/ Bobby Jones had a big game a few weeks ago. 20-13-7. He's more of a physical defender, from what I recall of him at Washington. Maybe the 2/3 version of Truck Hayes.
