More like Morey is narrowing the field for Kmac and then will set him up on Speed Dates to see which one he likes the best (at least thats what that Chron story sounded like Kmac wanted to ensure he had a good time with his assistants, since they are forever together). Other than Chris Finch, I'm sure Kmac has final say. Finch was probably the key to signing on the dotted line from the Rox standpoint, but everyone else I don't think they care, as long as they can interview them first. And, who knows what evil things Morey is doing with his coaching database.
