Jon Diebler signs in Turkey http://www.buckeyextra.com/content/...12/07/07-26-12-diebler-to-play-in-turkey.html Former Ohio State guard Jon Diebler will play a second season in Europe after signing today with Pinar Karsiyaka, a team in the Aegean Sea town of Izmir, Turkey. His agent, Lance Young, confirmed the signing. Diebler, taken by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft, played last season in Greece. He played with the Blazers' entry in the Las Vegas Summer League this month, but last week his negotiating rights were traded to the Houston Rockets as part of a three-team deal also involving Boston. Young said the Rockets encouraged Diebler to play overseas again this season because they are well-stocked with players on the wing. "(Rockets general manager) Daryl Morey told me they can see him on their roster in the future but this year is not the best time," Young said. "Jon said he's going to go back to Europe this year and become a better player, and he'll go to training camp with the Rockets next year and make their roster. If he doesn't, he'll become a free agent."
The Rockets have told sharpshooting sg Jon Diebler to play overseas next year due to their abundance of wing players. Morey said that he can see Diebler making the team in the future, but not this year. http://www.buckeyextra.com/content/...12/07/07-26-12-diebler-to-play-in-turkey.html
From at the time Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen Diebler was 2nd-round pick of Blazers in 2011. Played in Greece last season. Like E'Twaun Moore, Shaun Williams, he's not in Rockets plans..
I think this is a result of us having so many rookies on the team and so many garunteed contracts. I could see Diebler becoming a shooting gard version of Steve Novak.
Last season Lowry, Dragic, Lee, KMart and Bud were all good 3pt shooters. This season how many do we have? KMart and who else? Lamb possibly and we are hoping that Parsons develops some consistency shooting the three.
All our 3 point shooters all gone except Martin, I thought we had trouble scoring last season but this season is gonna get ugly quick

I always wonder why guys like him don't force their way into training camp so they can be a free agent sooner. DD
He'll get his 2nd round contract this year for sure, since we are waiving all the shooters. It's funny how we've turned into the team that suits his skills perfectly after just 1 year, Morey aced it saying we could use him in the future.
Fantastic video. 100% accuracy and was only late on a few passes. Unlimited energy (depending on battery size), but there are probably concerns about mobility and lateral quickness. That all being said, if the Diebler is included, I think the 8000 could be a solid third string PG.
