The starting backcourt is listed as Sura and Wesley. This seems non-exciting when I see it on the screen especially with such a good starting frontcourt. I think I'd rather see D.A. start along with Sura and have Barry off the bench first at SG.

yeah thats how I see the starting 5 ending up as well...I think Howard, Anderson and james will be a dangerous offensive trio off the bench...

How is Wesley starting? Is his D that good or are we that concerned with keeping DA healthy?

Although, what a great second team:

    Deke
    Juwan
    DA
    Barry
    James

That team could start and win 40 games!!! :)

It's weird seeing us have a lot of Forwards when in reality we just have Swift, Howard, and about 5 jumbo jacks

That's a little optimistic, I'd give them around 18 wins if that was the starting lineup of a team, but considering that's our second unit, I'm happy :D

I think Barry/Anderson will also backup the SF spot (like last season when they went with a three guard lineup)

    Sura Anderson Barry .. ?

Seems strange to me sometimes that the rox organization worries more about acquiring another power forward (Baxter; although they seemed pretty high on him from summer league and may have just wanted to get him in the fold) when it seems our depth at small forward is in question.

    T-Mac: starting small forward.
    Bowen: spot minutes.

I guess we're gonna have some small lineups sometimes, with DA and Sura-Faints and Barry sometimes playing some "3".

DA in my opinion will have an average year, not a better year than DW... DWesley will hit a lot of shots he didnt hit last year and he will defend the toughest perimeter player. DA is a great addition cause now we can put him on taller guards that DW had trouble with, Stackhouse etc... but having DA is a luxury, I expect Wesley to average around 12-13 points hitting around 38-40% 3pt. he will be a great asset that many people wont notice, but JVG will. When the Hornets were a playoff team, Baron Davis, Mashburn, etc... Wesley used to curl off PJ Brown, Magloire screens all the time and train the 20 footers and the open 3`s. I expect the same. I see DA backing up both the 2 and the 3, mostly the 3, and I see Barry backing up mostly at the 2.

    Yao / Deke / (Baker)
    Swift / Howard / Baxter
    TMac/ DA / Bowen
    DW / Barry / DA
Sura / James / DA ( Mooch, Ward)

That`s my roster for the year.

    Yao
    Deke
    Swift
    Howard
    Baxter
    TMac
    DA
    DW
    Barry
    Bowen
    Sura
    James

    IL
    Baker
    Mooch
    Ward

I dont see Head getting too much PT this year so I left him out, but I can see him getting garbage minutes at the 1 and the 2, but I`m hoping that he can be a defensive asset (DW) mold and chase the parkers, terry, nash, ridnour, BDavis, and all those quick PG`s around.

I project our starting lineup winning close to 60 wins, so with the 18 wins from the bench, that's 78 wins in a season! We are gonna be awesome!

Problems this season will be injuries so it probably wouldn't be suprising to see Anderson playing a lil point this year if Sura is out for any extended period of time. And if Derek gets injured James would start and Head probably would see some playing time. Anything other then that and Head wont see any playing time this season besides preseason.

    If that's true, that sucks...

I'm also not convinced were done moving some pieces, and if not this year, then by 2/06, he may not be on this team...

Maybe I'm just being too hard on him for dissapearing against the Mavs
