Can you imagine the numbers GP 2 is going to put up with Damntoni?

He had Ish Smith, Lin, Fat Ray, and that Kendall Marshall dude putting up ALL STARS NUMBERS.

I hope he will develop a jumper in time. I like his defensive potential.

 

Dont think johnson had the length...had the hops, but dont seem to translate to basketball plays like with GP..I also think GP might mpre mentally checked in than Nick was...hopefully

 

Nick Johnson had a solid build, but he seemed much slower than GPII. So while they may both have great explosion on their verticals, i think GPII is the better athlete. Also didn't Nick Johnson have a very slow shot release? Can't remember it correctly.

 

Pretty cool just because he's gary paytons son.

 

Yeah he did have short arms. Something about his build seems short but stocky, while GPII looks long and tall when they are supposed to be the same height i think.

Nick Johnson is still young. He still has plenty of time to develop and try and come back to the NBA as a backup PG one day.

 

Nick Johnson is Dennis Johnson's nephew. So there's another NJ and GPII similarity.

Of course, I'm basing that off him shooting left handed and dunking left handed and favoring his left on drives in all those videos you replied to. :grin:

 

Everyone says the draft was only weak at the top...and a deep draft otherwise. I think that is what we should expect from now on in the NBA with more and more players from overseas...drafts that have NBA-level players to be had all the way down to 50-60 deep.

Nick Johnson was very good when he played for the rockets. He looked like he had a chit load of potential. People were calling him the steal of the draft

 

Actually He dunk alot with his Right
his shot looks awkward - kind of a two handed push

I just noticed he switched hands alot when going for dunks
Rather than just dunking it with whatever hand he has the ball in
he needs to work on that
