What does RJ Hunter do that Eric Gordon and Gerald Green can't do or haven't done? Does Briante Weber still get to keep his spot on the roster? or are his days numbered?
I was hoping this would happen. He will take some of Weber's minutes for sure. And hopefully more once he earns it. Better O than D, but smart and hustles.
i had the cringes in the beggining later on i got confidence hes good its only he has that begginers jitters ... i think hes a good player both offensively and defensively
I don't get this mentality. You guys beg for youthful play but then cringe when the youths inexperience shows itself in the form of mistake and inefficiency. That's part of the experience and called development. Everybody can't show out right away like Parsons. Beverley didn't catch on until the okc postseason matchup. It takes time and patience to become a rotational piece. I don't mind Weber because he brings pesky defense, a crazy motor and he can handle the ball without turning the ball over. He seems to be at his best when the pace is pushing
I kinda like Webber myself .... said it before he reminds me of PatBev before he learned to shoot .... he has a non stop motor , pesky defensively , solid handles , decent size and cat quick. He just cant shoot from deep. Right now he's a zero on the offensive end and I don't think its because he lacks the skill or ability , he just doesn't do anything besides get the ball to Harden , CP3 or EG and camp at the 3 point line where he plays hot potato when the ball comes his way. He can run a pick and roll .... doesn't have to finish like Harden but can take that shot in the lane like CP3 , get it to a big or kick it out. He just isn't asked to do that .... and what he is asked to do he isn't proficient at so he passes it off .... He can potentially develop into another PatBev and you want to be the guy who finds those players , not the guy who gives them huge contracts .... like Parsons in Memphis.
Will he stand on Brown's shoulders or will Brown stand on Hunter's? I guess we are building a 6"-5" and under league...
Rockets big men: Clint Capela Ryan Anderson Nene PJ Tucker Tarik Black Chinanu Onuaku Zhou Qi Isaiah Hartenstein (likely joining team next season) The Rockets aren't aching for additional *quantity* of young bigs, and there are unlikely to be any future All-Star bigs available on two-way contracts. Guards, meanwhile, are something the Rockets could use more of, and the likelihood of finding a decent bench guard out of the G-League is much higher than finding great bigs. No issues here with how the Rockets are using their 16th and 17th roster spots.
