I like it. He shot 42% before going to a very bad offensive team. Obviously he's not Ray Allen but with good passers and low post players he could excel.
I don't think Morey will cut Greg Smith, he's invested too much time into the big guy. He was sent down to D-League a couple times. McHale has been teaching him post moves. Smith will stay or be traded for a 2nd rounder or something. He has some value.
If he can give the Rockets what CHA thought they were getting from GS, then this could be a good value purchase. If however he's as inept on both ends of the court as he was in Charlotte, I think you'll be happy he's only guaranteed one year. Hopefully he finds that stroke from 3 that made him look like he was worth 3.5mm or whatever the Cats were paying him prior.
He's coming off a less than stellar yet last year so we got him cheap. He's another young guy that is low risk high reward if he pans out. I'm good with it
Why are the Rockets signing these no name players? There is currently no player off the current bench that can consistently get 10 points, which is a shame. The bench is the biggest weak spot for the Rockets aside from the PF position.
The Rockets tried to get him 2 years ago http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=211972 He may or may not be DD cursed already
Garcia can certainly get 10 points consistently if he is played as the 6th man. As for this signing, all for minimum contracts to guys who can shoot. Work out, great, if not, cut them. As to signing no name players, Delfino was a no name that people on here ragged on and openly complained about Morey wasting money.
More like James Harden's body double. If we can easily see that the other team is sending goons out there, you just send Williams on the court, give him a Harden jersey, fans in the upper deck will think Harden ate 6 hot dogs during the timeout.
you guys have to realize they "players" yall really want arent going to accept the vet min...plus players we had last season that were no names b/c players yall want to start
