3pt shooter option at the SG position.

    Hope he can play D.

As mentioned, another Von Wafer'esque signing trying to catch lightning in a bottle, hopefully right when the player emerges. I guess its as much betting he wont have a 3rd consecutive down year and he has nowhere to "go but up".

James Anderson was supposed to be our "Danny Green" but that looks like its gonna end.

We see him as Reggie Williams, Morey sees him as Ray Allen.

I think Morey is just hoping Williams and Casspi can have bounce back seasons, and careers years in hope of using them as future trade bait.

This guy will remain unnoticed until bam, during one playoff game, he erupts for 30 points.

Morey signed this guy for just that one game.

You're probably right. If our history is any indicator though, I wouldn't be surprised. We've picked up high level athletes (Squid, Hill, Dorsey, etc...) that have done less albeit tad bit younger. He has the scent of Morey gamble on the cheap. Heck, check out our last 2 signings (Casspi and now Williams). 2 players who showed promise with specialized skills then faltered.

Ohlbrecht and Anderson to make room for Dwight is my guess. With the Rockets having Dwight, Asik, and Smith, my guess is Ohlbrecht is waived and picked off waivers by either Celtics or 76ers.

Any one that is complaining about this signing just relax.. We are paying him very little and he has shown skill in the past. 15 ppg rookie season, 28 ppg senior season college. The skill is their, but he has not been on the best teams.. If he can channel his old self great, if not he can keep a seat warm for us or go to rgv, no biggies.
