He seems to already have 100x better hands than Capela. That's always a plus. He can also move pretty well and agile for being such a tall kid... not as stiff on and off the ball as Capela.
Because he makes Anderson Varejao look silky smooth? But seriously, absolutely give the guy some minutes with RGV. Not a bad idea at all. But that video was kind of painful, and not just for watching UCLA's offense.
My league sources tell me, Brown, Moses is asking to be traded if he doesn't start after how Capella played in the playoffs.
He’s raw offensively but he runs the court well and has good agility for a guy that’s stands 7’1”. No expectations but if he hits the weights and can rebound, block some shots, and hit FT’s then he could develop into a solid pickup. Creation it there are one TT if guys in the league that made a name for themselves because they hustle and worked their ass off to develop a game. Tucker, for one, was playing in Europe and bounced around a lot before sticking with an NBA team. At least this kid looks active and plays with energy.
You can knock some things about Capela, and his performance during this last playoff run was disappointing overall, but having bad hands is definitely not one of his flaws. Anyway, I know nothing about Moses Brown, but from his highlights, I do see the Varejao comparison. If he ever develops into that type of player, this is a great signing.
