Wooho. Who was I just talking about that we were saying we'd like him back? He's not much more than a very good spot up, streaky shooter. Chris Paul likes him a lot, too. I think he'd have a great opportunity here, I just still don't understand why we have Demetrius, Bobby, and then we have to sign this guy, also. It just screams a lack of logic in our assembling of the roster but I understand parts of it--Bobby for Harden. He should be able to fill the role of a 3pt streaky shooter, until Paul is back. I'd like to see him start the games, so we can continue to bring EGO off the bench. Not crazy but like 20 minutes a game(till Paul is back), and starting each half but definitely not finishing games. SIL
ESPN ranked Roberson about 30 spots ahead of Ariza, and 40 ahead of Gordon. Yet, Westbrook won the MVP, because he had no help.
Demetrius Jackson - Bobby Brown - Briante Weber - Isaiah Canaan How many point guards does it take to replace Chris Paul? We're gonna find out!
I like this signing. He is a much better shooter than Jackson and will have a lot of catch and shoot opportunities here. Morey shouldn't have traded him in the first place though.
LOL, the thing is, the Rockets just need to find someone that is a "net positive or really net neutral" while one of Harden and Gordon are sitting. Rockets need someone that can dribble and be an offensive threat and not a complete zero defensively. Jackson was decent defensively but just couldn't do anything offensively. Canaan won't be as good defensively and will need to rely on "team defense" to help him, BUT he will at least have the gumption to shoot 3's in MDA's system. Hopefully just do enough while Harden rests.
