If he can guard centers on the defensive end I see no reason he couldn't start at C. On the offensive end he can do his PF stuff but as long as he can guard Cs we can start him at C.

Anyway, probably the best news this offseason

I think 14 pts 8 reb for his first year, anything other than that to me would just be a nice bonus. If Scola and Martin are gone before the season starts then we might see more from him early, but I think this team next year is run by Lamb and Parsons in Scoring.

Parsons ain't scoring more than 9 points a game next year. Terrance Jones, Aaron Brooks, Royce white and perhaps Marcus Morris will have to contribute big on scoring.

Not overly exciting, but if we're truly going for the PLAY THE YOUNGINS strategy, I think he's a good prospect. Having him shouldn't limit our interest in signing a true Center.

This seems a little optimistic to me. I would be very excited if he put up these numbers. I'm thinking single digits in scoring and 5-6 boards a game. But would love to see him do better.

He didn't even average 14 and 8 in the Polish League, playing against Poles.

I want him playing at the NBA level at least 24 minutes per game.

In an interview, he said his father told him to "be like Sabonis". For the sake of the team, I really hope he will be like him...

Now, with this signing, I really hope we don't rent Howard. That way we'll all find out if Howard can catch him in a real game.

Question: since we just signed him, that means he can't be involved in any trade right?

I think a big concern, given his back "spasms" or pain, or whatever, is did the Rockets learn anything from McGrady's experience? I'd say he ought to make a trip to Waco sooner than later. I'm not convinced the Rockets medical staff is "progressive" enough. Does anyone here know what "they" ended up thinking about the guy in Waco?
