Unbelievable. This does reek of Morey having a mandate that if he couldn't make a move to help the team he needed to get under the tax.
The Rockets organization should seriously consider lowering ticket prices if this is the way they are going to conduct business.
LOL. Only DD would get pissed off that Joel Anthony was essentially traded from the Rockets. Given that his roster spot opens up more space for Rockets to actually sign someone with their roster spots, and free up space under he cap & tax. Only DD folks. You're in love with Cuban anyways... why not just root for the Mavs bro? I don't think your blood pressure and the Rockets mixing are a healthy mix for you.
Why is everyone so pissed, we acted like Dmo and Thornton would win us a championship. We're done for at least the next couple of seasons. The only thing Les can do is get rid of the coach and/or GM.
It's hard to try and spin how the D-Mo trade wasn't tax motivated when this happens along with the Rockets history under Les saying otherwise
Chicago & Houston, more ways alike than one. Always high expectations, usually coming up short. Both disappointing this year. Both like to let the world know "they'll spend". When it comes to putting money where their mouth is, nope, get under that LT at the deadline. Bulls trading away Hinrich. Rockets dumping salary.
To be fair, Les has said he's willing to pay whatever it takes for the right team. This team currently out of the playoff picture probably isn't the right team to pay lux tax for Les.
Why would you pay the luxury tax if your team sucks like this? This is why he's rich and you are you.
hold on, dmo was traded out as a pure salary dump to get under the lux tax. i doubt les is signing any new players now to get back into tax territory
Ok. If your team sucks like this...why the **** aren't you approaching this from the way a terrible team would? We need to tank and acquire any picks we can. We just gave up Dmo and a 2nd rounder to dump cash. Dwight might walk this off season for nothing. That is piss poor management.

yes! Derek Bodner @DerekBodnerNBA 7m7 minutes ago The #sixers are sending the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum as part of the Joel Anthony trade.
Agree with everything but the 2nd point. Rockets did nothing to help them make the playoffs. If anything, they probably want to miss the playoffs so they can get their 1st back from Denver. I want them to miss the playoffs now, if I am being perfectly honest. Get two 1st round picks to dangle on draft night and maybe move up or use those in a package for a disgruntled star player. If the Rockets are going to fight for a 7 or 8 seed and then get embarrassed by the Warriors or Spurs then why bother? Unless they can get to the 5th seed, there is no point because OKC is really good. Hell, Clippers just got a whole lot better with Green. Just miss the playoffs and regroup next season.
