They do have a lot of SF's, but acquiring the Prince even without Bazemore will be very difficult imo, with our meager resources. If they want EG, it might work. That's something most of us wouldn't want.

Apparently Atlanta wanted a 1st rounder and Melton this summer for Bazemore (while taking back Ryan). Not sure they would settle to take a 1st without Melton now, even though the pick is obviously looking much better so, who knows...and i'm not sure i would trade that pick for Bazemore, i like the idea of getting him at this point but eh...

    Why?

Wall has played in every Wizards game this year and averaging 21 points (44%) & 8 assists per game. Opponents are shooting 44% against Wall.

Paul has missed 5 games already this year and averaging 17 points (42%) & 8 assists per game. Opponents are shooting 52% against Paul.

Both are making max money. Wall is only 28 yrs old.

you ask why? it's because john wall goes out to the club almost every single night and gets wasted. just look at his eyes... they're yellow from all that toxicity in his liver.

yeah he's still crazy athletic, but it's not gonna last much longer at this point and his focus on the game is nowhere near the level of cp3. hope he gets help soon bc from all accounts he is a good caring individual and has done a lot in the community.

Wall is a really terrible player, lockerroom-disrupting teammate and extremely overpaid. Right now, Chris Paul - in his worst ever season - has a TS% of 54.9% which would be a career high for John Wall.

To put in perspective what a horrible player this guy is, last season he shot 85% and 50% from the 2 corners. But he took only 9 shots from there. He decided to jack up 159 attempts from the top at 34.6%. He shot 30% from mid range, which didn't stop him from jacking up 216 shots in there.

He is constantly at odds with his own teammates. They practically celebrated him being out last season. His team has done nothing, despite having above average talent in the significantly worse conference. If that's not enough for you, his own team is trying to dump him right now before his extension kicks in, and no one is biting.

Chris Paul is at worst a top 20 player who is scoring better, leads by example on defense and 100% of NBA scorers would rather be guarded by Wall than Paul. It would be insane to swap these two. Our window would slam shut immediately, despite the age difference.

Well you were mentioning first rounder(s). They are in tank mode and need to let guys like Anderson and Hamilton
    get more minutes.

Actually I think the Rockets will be taking back more players in return than going out. Like Knight/Chriss for multiple
smaller contracts like wing+PG+Center. Not only was House released but Hartenstein was sent down to the G-league.
After this possible trade then Gary Clark gets moved from 2-way deal to greater. Opens up a spot for
another 2-way.player. We might see the 2-way PG again. Best PG tearing up the G-League or Russian/Chinese leagues added because of Knight exit and MCW might not be up to par.

Thanks for the info Clutch. Both Feigen and CF has now reported the "type" of deal the Rockets are looking for. I think the fact that is "public" says something. Like Morey is trying to create some "urgency" here for Team-X to make a deal. Rockets waive House and then float the information publicly about the team wants.

    From the Rockets asset side.....
    -Rockets can't combine MCW/Anthony yet.
-Chriss is the next guy to look at at 3.2M Expiring.
-Rockets also have a 2.5M TPE to take in a player.
-BK could be traded (broken apart) for 2 players. Similar to the Anderson strategy for BK/Chriss. Gives them team more flexibility for "follow up moves"

Waiving House basically means they want a 1 for 2 deal. BK for 2 guys. Or Chriss & TPE for 2 guys in 2 separate trades.

Also, Morey on Haberstroh's Pod recently felt like Melo would be catching on with a new team shortly. Sounded assured by that.

What if our team is just playing mind games with the NBA by terribly losing games so that our pick value would Appear higher and better For trade value.......ijs.

Seriously, that G League game from BK was basically "Proof of Life."

See, he is alive and can do basketball. You are not trading for a corpse.

House wasn’t released because of an incoming trade.

They could release House at any point prior to the trade. Unless we Adeel a trade consummated by this afternoon it makes no sense. They could keep him until the last possible second in case a trade didn’t go through.

He was released because.... meh. He wasn’t horrible for a G League pickup but nothing amazing.

    OK. . . .this sounds crazy but . . . . . . ..

    I would like this:
Rockets Trade/Acquire JR SMITH before Dec 7th.
Meaning he can be traded at the Trade Deadline

Then trade him to reunite him with his good friend LeBron
    for
    Brandon Ingram

    Rocket River
    A guy can dream . . . .

If Rockets opened up a roster spot anticipating a trade, my guess is a 2-1 involving Knight where the players salaries coming back add up to more than Knight's salary (but less than max allowable of around $18M), and one or both expiring. that way Houston has more flexibility matching salaries at trade deadline, can assume even more salary when bringing a player in.
