I'm just poking fun at ya a bit - I do think Uthoff has the talent to be a contributor on an NBA team, just hasn't managed to stick anywhere yet. There are dozens like him with the talent to be in the league, just not the opportunity. Hate to break it to you, but odds are that the opportunity ever won't present itself.

Uthoff's problem is his lack of aggression...internally on the team. He's too quiet and passive. It's a personality thing that has zero to do with his skills. He's distant from his teammates, dispassionate, and he's not close to anybody. Teams take that as he's not aggressive enough and he doesn't love the game, etc. Uthoff would STILL be a great fit here. He's a better player than Gary Clark, James Ennis, and Isaiah Hartenstein. I'd still love to have him on a cheap deal.

 

Crossing my fingers...Dario Saric from Minnesota. He's averaging 18 mins a game. He can play both the 4 and the 5. Gritty player...decent rebounder.

 

Could maybe get him if we moved Knight for Dieng and gave them a future first or perhaps a second and a youngster. Don't know if that's worth it to us.

 

You pay for Dieng contract, 81.72 million for 2021-2022.

18 million + 18 million*3.54 = 81.72

SF: Bazemore/Ennis
PF: Tucker/Clark
C: Capela/Dedmon

When Minnesota was looking to trade Butler, Houston was involved either to get Butlet or get other pieces.

I'm hoping Saric was a piece we were looking at as other pieces. He would be a great piece and Minnesota is not using him.
