If we are waiving House, this makes me sense that it is a 2-1 deal as far as players go, which means its probably Brandon Knight if I had to guess.

    What about something like...

    Kosta Koufos (Expiring 8.7)
    Ben McLemore (Expiring 5.46)

    for

    Brandon Knight
    Future 2nd Round Pick
Future 2nd Round Pick Swap (If thats what needed to get the job done)

Sacramento has by far the most cap space next offseason and would likely take on short term salary for future assets

I know it doesnt help us on the floor much. But that would give us trade chips of:

22 million in expiring contracts (Koufos, McLemore, Chriss, MCW, Melo, Zhou Xi)
    Eric Gordon
    Nene (salary filler)

At WORST, we could get Tim Hardaway with those expirings and still have room to make other moves

I'm guessing we're going to get Bazemore. Bazemore will finally be our real Ariza replacement.

He can't be a real Ariza replacement. He doesn't have the same size and length. Rockets need true wings with forward size, not guards that can play wing. In that case, I'd probably rather just play Harden at SF full time.

Really want to get excited with this news, but I'm really feeling it will be a lateral move, like a trade for a guy like Santkoransky (no idea how to spell his name), which is a good Cp3 backup that we need, but doesn't really move the needle.

To be fair, he is a country strong 6-5 with a 7-0 wingspan. He can definitely defend in the post, much like PJ Tucker, who is also 6-5 with a 7-0 wingspan.

Baze and Tuck would LOCK DOWN.

Geez, I REALLY hope this isn't the deal. McLemore is awful

I mean... to an extent. Just ultimately he's a SG. And as much as I can value the benefit of "small-ball"/"death" lineups, running out there with CP3, Harden, Bazemore, Tucker at 1-4 with Capela (or Nene, or whomever at center), might be able to make some half court stops, but we'll still have problems with defensive rebounding.

I think the biggest thing is it'd just be more real legit depth.

But I wouldn't put it as my top choice.

While I agree with most of your post and applaud you for stating those points, I have say that from my own personal experience with a loved one who suffers PTSD, bipolar disorder and depression, this is not true. This person in my life does not deal with ups and downs as well as most people and suffers panic attacks because of it.

At least Satoransky would be a start. We currently have nothing behind CP. Satoransky is a 6’7 pg with real game. One could argue that the Wiz looked better with him starting last year than Wall. If you could get Morris to back up Tuck, now you are starting to “move the needle”. Satoransky would become a fan favorite over night. Dude can ball, and he shouldn’t cost much.

Bazemore is only half of 30 years old Ariza.

Knight/1 First for Baze is a good trade for Rockets, but Tilman will not approve the deal because of next year's tax.

It has to be Knight for expiring contract.

By no means. He is not worth giving up even 3 1st rounders. Defense and 3 point shooting plus passing are not his strengths.

That would be nice, but I don't see any incentive from the Wizards to do that. Chriss's IQ is low.

I am looking for deal with Bulls, Hawks, Cavs, Knicks, Nets and Suns.

It would be more expensive for unavailable players or not-very-available players.

No one wants to take Knight's contract. Knight contract is huge overrated in this forum. Many believe that a 2nd round pick would be enough to dump his contract.
Everyone would demand 2 Firsts to swallow Knight's salary.

Knight contract costs Tilman $31 million this year and 43.5 million next year. Why keep Knight?

The only incentive is that Howard is out for a while and they don't have much C depth. They might have use for Chriss. Sometimes one person's trash is another person's treasure...as it relates to Chriss.

I really like your posts and learn a lot from you, however I'm not convinced of this. Backup C is a big problem for us too. Chriss hasn't been to do much for us. Perhaps, he might get somewhat better with experience, since he is putting in an effort, but that doesn't say much at least at this time.
