The team as a whole gets a "F" then for not making playoffs despite being the A-team. I suggest you add in "Tracy McGrady - FAIL" to offset the inflated grades and justify the playoff absence.
good analysis, bad grading use Lebron James playing at max efficiency for a baseline measure of an "A+", use Aaron Brooks playing at max efficiency for a baseline measure of "A-", it's not inconceivable that he is capable of A+, but would show and Allen Iverson finals Sixers type of play to warrant that kind of grade
Aaron Brooks- A Kyle Lowry- B Kevin Martin- B Chase Budinger- P Shane Battier- C Trevor Ariza- B (For that triple double tonight!) Luis Scola- A Jordan Hill- P Chuck Hayes- B Jared Jeffries- C A-Awesome B-Above Average C-Average P- For potential...
That's dumb. These grades are obviously taking into account potential and expectations. For example, if Chuck Hayes somehow averaged 10 ppg, he would get an A+++ on the season, even though he's clearly no Amare or Bosh.
I definitely agree with both of you. The problem with posters like larsv8 is that they can't think critically when it comes to the Houston Rockets. He did his homework, but you would have to give him a bad grade on it.
I don't think they're bad fans. The players on this team aren't as good as you think they are in comparison to other players in the league....if that's how you were grading them. As someone said before, we can agree that Lebron James should receive an A+ for the season. How then can a player like Aaron Brooks receive an A+ as well when he is not as efficient as someone like Lebron? Or perhaps you were grading them with the "Rockets" curve?
Nah just realistic. It's not like we wanted the Rox to play poorly we just recognise when they have underperformed.
Again, I graded according to playing at thier max potential. If you were a teacher and you had two students, one being an absolute genius who is exceptional at everything and another with a major learning disability and who struggles mightly at everything and they both handed in an identical essay. Do you think they deserve the same grade?
LOL. Max potential? How do you know any players max potential? DD will get mad at you because you think AB has reached him Max potential already.
I agree, way too high for a number 9 team who didn't make the playoffs. I feel like Brooks is solid B who needs to improve his PnR defense, make better decisions going to the bucket, and pass better.
I get what the OP is doing. The OP is rating the Rockets among themselves, so he gave Aaron and Luis (I think) A+ because they were the best performers on this team this year, and so on ...
