It's a sad day when the Clippers get more national coverage than the Rockets. http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/1011_schedule_released.html
**** the media. 3 national TV games? What a disgrace. They should have learned their lesson after last season. Meanwhile teams like Portland and Atlanta get more appearances than us.
Who cares how many games are on National TV. In the end it matters how many games you win or lose, not how many games are on National TV. If you want to see them on National TV real bad, make the playoffs and they will be on.
42 win team + Yao = at least 50 wins and multiple National TV appearences IMO. ...and Portland and Atl don't have nearly the same market as Houston.
im sure the rockets will get another game or two added to national tv if yao comes back strong. in other news, looks like the heat have 22 (i think 22, hard to read on my phone) national games. and it will be a sad day in cleveland on thursday, december 2nd. national television too.
Look on the brightside! We'll get the Chinese media all over us again. Welcome back YOF Edit: Well at least we know who to compare ourselves with.. The Sacramento Kings also have 3 national televised games (ESPN, TNT)
I guess I just don't get why everyone gets up in arms when the national media "disrespects" us. Who cares what the national media thinks of us? And what have the Rockets done to really garner this "respect" that a lot of people seem to crave. As long as the Rockets take care of business in the regular season, they'll get plenty of attention in the playoffs when it really matters.
I never really cared about national TV much, it just means that I'll be able to hear from Bill, Clyde, and Bull. Go Rox!!!
You already know that Imma reserve my seats for the Dec. 29 game vs. the Heat. Best thing about it is its during Winter Break! Also gonna get the Nov. 29 game vs. the Thunder during Thanksgiving Break and the March 18th game vs. Boston during Spring Break. Sucks that we only get 3 nationally televised games though. ESPN and TNT will put us on once we get Melo or CP3.
This schedule with its lack of national TV simply points out why Morey went after Bosh. In part. Don't get me wrong, Bosh is a good player. But even if he isn't a LeBron TV kind of guy, he would have at least raised the team's profile enough for some more TV time, as well as get some star attention from the refs. Doesn't explain the Clippers thing, though. Is a healthy Blake Griffin THAT much of a TV draw? Such a waste.
