    Tillman Fertitta needs to let this season go and to tank instead of being desperate. Stupid, Brutal Horrific Move. Why not go after Butler as a Free Agent? Absolutely no common sense.

    I don’t believe this, no way Morey offers 4 picks for a rental, he could have offered them for Paul George last year if that was true.

    That's what i would expect, by that time CP might be retired and Harden/Butler could still be traded if the team won't be a contender.

    I’m starting to think we may have offered that but it would have to happen on October 31st so we can include Knight instead of Gordon... but ultimately this leaked a week early so Minnesota can get other teams to up their offers.

    Sam Decker
    Clint Capela
    Terrence Jones
    Royce White

    You telling me you wouldn't consider that package for Jimmy Butler? And these picks weren't anywhere as low (20's and deeper) than what we are considering trading.

    Astros = Trending up, Texans = consistently mediocre (we not gonna go far even if we win the sht division title), Rockets = Trending down.

    Don't be fooled by our winning record for the TExans, we playing a cakewalk schedule within a shtty division.

    Because we have no cap space. The only way to grab him is trade for him and sign him in offseason with Bird rights.

    4 1st round picks, for a potential 1 year rental. I can see the reasoning for pulling the trigger, but pretty risky.

    Let’s face it, we don’t even use the draft anymore to gain players. Must of our picks have been bust. We literally use it for trades. While yes it’s good to keep some picks for future deals I don’t think this hurts us at all. There is always enough talent of undrafted players and free agency is good enough

    I’m all for being a team that’s always in a win now rather than tanking for picks that could be bust see nets for example

    I think it’s fairly obvious giving Morey track record of not being stupid that if the 4 firsts is correct...

    No rotation players are going out
    Picks will have protection
    Butler has agreed to sign with us

    True. But given Morey's track record I'm thinking he has some inside info that makes him feel confident in our ability to re-sign Butler. But who knows...
