This guy is fine. He's a PG that can defer to Harden and a good 3 PT shooter. Isn't that exactly what we need? He probably can't defend but you can't get everything. He should get some playing time to at least limit Terry some until the playoffs. Can't have Terry get hurt (or Bev).
At the end of his first month, after he had made half of his four threes while generating 12 points and three assists in a big win at Charlotte, Goudelock walked into the locker room to hear Matt Barnes and Luke Walton talking. “They were saying, ‘He sure does like to shoot,”’ Goudelock recalls. “I’m like, `What are y’all talking about?’ They were laughing, they said, `You know who we’re talking about. We’re talking about you.’ “And then Kobe was like, `We’re going to call you the Mini-Mamba.’ So that was a great moment for me.” _______________ "He's got that grit, he's got that will to perform well," Bryant said of Goudelock. "He's extremely aggressive. That's what mambas are. He's definitely got that DNA. Throw it up. Put that ball in the hole." So most recently Marcus Thornton? Kinda? Sorta? Maybe? Not really?
Goudelock is a really good shooter. Last year hit 46% from three in the euroleague and 51% overall. Who knows how that will translate back to the NBA so it's a roll of the dice. Our shooting has been so horrible this year it's hard to watch. This is his big chance so hopefully he makes the best of it.
From what I've seen of him in the past he can atleast shoot the three at an above average clip and he can defend and has some size for a point guard. Too bad JB wont play him over his butt buddy Brewer though.
