Congrats Bev. He literally sacrificed his body for the team each year. He's the one guy I'd go to war with on the team

Even putting aside the poison pill aspect, this contract compared to the Lin deal...

    Nice job DM

Dam that is like vet min territory.

    I've read it is 3 years with a 4th non-guaranteed.

We got money in the bank.

Rockets are going to have a deep roster and massive cap room/flexibility in the next couple years.

I'm happy because Bev plays with so much passion when it counts.

Nice deal, I was worried that he was going to get a little bit more than this due to the new CBA changing the landscape so much.

Bev has averaged 31 MPG the past 2 years. I think that's a little too much for him, hopefully we can still acquire a more talented penetrator/creator at the PG position who can allow Bev to play 20-25 MPG instead. I think Bev is a guy who would be better with less mins because he can keep up that defensive intensity better and hopefully stay healthier (avg. 56 games past 2 years).

Does that Corey Brewer contract still look AMAZING now in comparison to this? Bev can give us a discount but Brewer can't? Please.

Brewer can still be an asset if we want LMA. I don't think the deal is horrible, plus let's see how this deep roster will perform if healthy. If not, we're primed and ready for Durant next year

So we paid MORE for an OLDER guy with a LESSER role is what you're saying? Lol. I know the Rockets aren't into the business of doing favors so please spare me with the argument that his age had anything to do with us giving him MORE money. Makes no sense.

Glad he's back, now he needs to work on his game.
