Rockets re-assign Terrence Jones to the RGV Vipers

Playing against d-league competition doesn't really count. He might as well go back to Kentucky and practice with the team.
I don't know why McHale still insists on playing Morris/Patterson big minutes even when its clearly obvious they are sucking, why not give others a chance- how else would you know if you got a good player on your sqaud.
And why does McHale insist on playing patterson at center sometimes, when its obvious he can't even play pf very well- while Greg smith just sits on the bench.
Give me sampson any day over mchale

 

maybe the rockets keep sending this guy over so he won't be involved in trade talks.

 

Seriously Jeff Van Gundy would have been gave all of their minutes to Greg Smith instantly when he was coach. People usedt o **** on JVG's rotation's back in the day, but i remember him giving bench players more chances (other than v-span) than rick and mchale.

I am pretty sure all this back and forth was discussed by Morey and Mcahale with Jones - he knows that they want him to get into game shape by playing in the d league and will recall him in case of injury or when there are several days of so he can practice with the team. And it seems like he is ok with it (unlike some other players...).

You might not agree with it, but it is what the people that work with him think is best for him and the Rockets...

I just hope he's okay with it. As a fan it seems a bit much to keep sending him down and bringing him up so hopefully they've done a good job talking to him about this. Can you imagine if we tried this with another rookie that shall will not be named (hint: sounds like Joyce Flight)

 

Idk what Morrey is planning, but I sure he gives Jones minutes if no trades go down.

 

Rockets need to give Terrence Jones NBA minutes also...he's much better the two no shows!
