Do you think signing Marc Gasol to 4-years, $55M is a good deal for the Rockets?

The point was more about finding the next big draft mega-steal.

I realize there's a difference (albeit small) between being a second rounder and taken 20th overall, but the point is largely still the same. If D-Mo is as good as we think he is, he stands a good chance of upstaging some very shaky top ten picks (i.e. Thompson, Biyombo).

Always a nice card to have in your back pocket.

What's the deal with Thabeet? He was alright in college. Now he makes Shawn Bradley look like an All-Star

So what if we trade Hill and Martin for Marc Gasol

and that would work now that the grizz are sending out OJ

then would that leave us cap space to get nene?

It pisses me off that Gortat gets half that. But you're right. We make the playoffs last year with him instead of Hayes.

Gasol junior was a human garbage when he was drafted (yes, it's true). He was truly awful in Girona that time, he was slow, he wasn't able to catch the ball, the score in the post, to shoot, to rebound more than a three-five feet far from the basket and he wasn't an NBA type of prospect that time, he just had size and surname or genetics whatever

But, he really exploded the season after the draft and became the top-3 player in ACB. From a bust to a star in a heartbeat. It was a memorable turnoaround

It would be close. We would have to amnesty Thabeet and maybe trade another couple pieces away for cap room.

    1. Mike Conley (6.5 Million)
    2. Kevin Martin (11.5 Million)
    3. Rudy Gay (15 Million)
    4. Zach Randolph (15 Million)

WOULD be pretty nasty. 48 Million in cash would be locked up though.

With Tony Allen and Darrell Arthur, they would have 53 Million in cash.

That said, the only way they get rid of Gasol is If they have a C coming back somewhere.
My question is this... Could they conceivably clear enough cap room to sign a guy like Samuel Dalembert If they lost Gasol for Martin? The more I look at it, the more I see how impossible it is to get Marc Gasol. This franchise has ZERO flexibility, and we are F'ed in the A...

Twitter wars strike again. It's absolutely comical how a clearly false twitter post stirs up basketball fans.

adrianwoj is getting just as bad as sam smith and peter vecsey.

Grizzlies reduce their salary if this trade goes through.

Scola's mid-range game is money. Patterson has gotta prove he can rebound consistently before we let Scola go.

To answer all the questions, Marc Gasol is NOT at Grizz practice.

So before an offer can officially be made the Rockets have to put someone on waivers, presumably Thabeet? And if Memphis matches we will have no centers at training camp?
