We can't - it's a matter of he said, she said.

Why was Asik shaking his head when McHale subbed in Jones when Smith went down?

We don't know for sure what transpired. What we know is how Asik played when he's in the game.

How did he do so far?

The funniest thing about this thread is that the OP tries to make fun of the cuisine of somewhere else, while Omer is in HOUSTON.

Remember that he was in CHICAGO, possibly the epicenter for food (tossup with New York). Right -- Omer will have second thoughts of leaving Houston because of the food. Thanks for that chuckle.

Omer had those stats NOT because he's good. Any center can come in our 2012 roster and put up those stats.

Lin and Asik's situation isn't even remotely similar aside from the fact that they both got relegated to the bench. Lin still plays heavy minutes and has been closing games. And honestly I'm sure he knows himself he's a much better player than Beverley, while there is no doubt in most people's minds that Howard trumps Asik any day.

Several things wrong with what you said:

    1) You are basically saying the pride of one person is more important than the pride of the team. Of course every player has pride, but more often than not players have to make sacrifices for teams to win championships. It's absolutely understandable for fans to be upset with Asik, considering the fact that Asik would not be where he is today earning the money from his contract if it wasn't for Morey who believed and took the risk on him. Pretty selfish behavior from Asik.

    2) How could Chandler "mind his own business" when Asik's behavior is affecting the team? What he said wasn't really out of line, but this team doesn't need drama.

He's actually been pretty good this season. Having a better season than last. His points, rebounds, FT%, and FG% are up from last year, and his 3 still isn't falling like we know it can (and will).

While you chuckle, heres some perspective. The statement is relative from Houston to Milwaukee. Not Houston to Chicago. Houston is a melting pot of ethnicity's with all different type of restaurants. You should come visit sometimes, empire and pashas restaurants are awesome.

Because Parsons knows he is the de facto starter, and he's not going to be traded, and he's going to get paid once his contract is up?

Agree, let's see how he conduct himself when he is riding the pine and get intro as the 14th player on the team.

    Exactly.

Bring Kevin Durant to the team, bring Parsons off the bench for limited minutes when he is due for a big contract and then lets see how much of a team player Parsons is.

There is a reason he went with Dan F. as his agent and its not because he likes him.

I am not a fan of what Asik is doing but make no mistake about it...almost every NBA player in his situation would be looking out for themselves if they were due for their first massive contract. Asik and his agent arent stupid. They know how much of a premium Asik can command with his performance last year.

Parsons need to shut up. These are not things you say about your teammates to outsiders. This 3rd star thing is really getting to his head. Asik played 4 bad minutes. I can't remember the number of bad games Parsons has played.

Ginobli is much better than Denny Green too. Harden was better than Sefalosha.

Whats Lin doing this year? Oh i don't know... 18 points a game, 52% FG, 46 % threes. Is he pouting? Asik could use Howard as motivation to come out and play like a beast or develop a mid-range jumper, or be a better FT shooter.

My point is that Lin didn't cry about it last year, he kept playing. You work hard and things will happen for you. You cry and pout, nothing will work out for you. Not everyone will take benching well and the Rockets do owe it to Asik to make him happy via trade but, when you come out on national TV and pout and shake your head, you only look like a little p***y.

How do you suppose the Rockets make this work? Do you put individual success of a particular player over the success of the team?

We are a better team when only one of our centers is on the court. Dwight is better at every single aspect of the game than Asik.

Asik needs to stop pouting. It's obvious we are going to trade him, but we are not going to make a dumb trade early in the year. Better trades become available at the deadline. If he would rather not play at all for most of the year than be professional about it, he is quitting on the team.

Asking for a trade through an agent is one thing, but refusing to play is another. We are paying this guy a lot of money for him to refuse to play. It's a joke.

you act like the Rockets hasn't done everything they possibiliy can to help him. Morey's been trying to trade, and McHale, for better or worse, tried to get him PT. how he's conducting himself right now is shameful and ungrateful.
