The Rockets have the worst passing big men of any team in the league. Asik barely registers a basketball IQ and the other Rockets' big men have none.

The Rockets need an athlete at the 4 if they plan to keep playing up-tempo under McHale. Not necessarily a stretch 4, but somebody like Josh Smith or Thaddeus Young would be ideal. If we sign Dwight, though, McHale will shift to build around Howard, as they are both post players, and ask Morey to acquire a stretch 4. It all rests on Dwight Howard...

Sue me for being patient, but this team made the playoffs with a roster of young players that are going to improve so I see absolutely no need to use an inordinate amount of money to sign Josh Smith or some other PF that's going to cost more than they're worth and demand a multi-year contract.

We need to keep the roster flexible and wait on that second star. All spending outside of that seems pretty pointless as we don't know who will compliment the style once we get a second star. The PFs on my list would be Love, Aldridge, Cousins, and Monroe (Detroit won't trade him but still on my list). Love and Cousins have the most potential to be traded I would think, but it's just a matter of circumstances, I guess.

Here's to a fruitful summer of watching Daryl Morey work his magic!

Rockets need a stretch 4 to maximize our ROI on Harden. Got to clear the lane. I think some posters on the board, myself included, may have overrated having a post presence in the frontcourt on offense. Maybe there's a reason there aren't many post players anymore. Perhaps the new rules have just given the advantage too far over to backcourt players. I would imagine that backcourt studs' TS% is higher than frontcourt stars' these days, considering its backcourt (and i'm also including SF in this grouping) players who are getting to the line more now and the threes backcourt players take. I wonder if we shouldn't get another elite penetrator to pair with Harden and a stretch 4. Neither one grows on trees, which is why trading away Patterson and Morris still baffles me.

Jones should be starting. This would win us a couple of games

He might be on the team now; I just don't know which one he is and apparently the Rockets don't either.

I see a cloud over Royce White's future......

Bulked up Dmo as backup center...ok

    TRob...energy off the bench...good

I see sunshine over T-Jones' future, so versatile.

LMA or KLove would put us over the edge in this current playoff series. Yes, one player can make that much a difference if said player is a perfect fit for a team.

Basketball might be the only sport where stars provide such an edge to a team. You team up either of the above with a superstar like Harden, and voila: all of a sudden your team becomes a serious contender.
