I am busy CHASING someone else. I think he probably got a guaranteed offer somewhere else, or maybe he saw the odds of him making it as low and asked out..... This sounds like CYA to me. DD
My thoughts almost... I have a feeling that he had an offer where he could potentially get more PT or have a better chance at a roster spot.
I think your right. The rockets BEFORE inviting anyone to camp.. usually.. or should... always check to make sure the guy is healthy! its more than health in this situation.
Why? Even if they are healthy before joining us, they will some how end up being hurt at one part of the season.
I am sure I will be lambasted for liking another young player....let me get my thoughts in order. Dear Chase..... DD
i dont think there is a guaranteed offer anywhere else. he was technically under contract here and i dont think any other team could make a guaranteed offer to a player currently under contract... even if its a non guaranteed one. my guess is still what i said earlier in this thread... and your later statement in this quote. he didn't like his odds and asked out. if thats the case then i say we dont need loser mentalities so we're better off.
But he looked so happy... Morey's a meaniehead. Next thing you know he'll be cutting Barry, and then Cook. And he'll never be satisfied until he can cut Yao. The man is a monster!
Hmm it still seems odd if you ask me I think only time will tell if it was actually the abdominal pains or if it was something else (bad conduct or solid offer from different team)
Still weird hat they didn't know about his injury beforehand. Very, very odd. I would think a Morey-led team would have done its homework. I personally think the groin pull is an excuse. It sucks, though. He definitely could have helped and could have, at worst, been our sixth man.
Sometimes groin injuries happen at the last minute, especially if it's arranged in practice. Morey to Dorsey: "Eliminate him."
