Come on guys, quit ripping on the fan made one. It's just a concept. Give the guy who made it half the standard designer fee, some months to refine it, and more utilities at his command than a copy of Photoshop and it could work.
Of course, Astros fans have extensive knowledge of what makes logos and uniforms attractive and ugly. And I emphasize the word "ugly"--see all past astros uniforms.
And what would you call the OLD uni/logo ? I'm mean, just look at this bear. He looks like a frickin clown! It's Calvin Murphy on a "bad suit day!" It was the most confused uniforms I've ever seen! Trust me. We're fine. The Texans, Astro, Rockets unis and logos will all be simple and sharp. Red/Silver/White. P.S. Did anyone notice that the OLD uniforms have THREE SHADES of BLUE? The belt (medium blue), the uniform (dark blue) and the Rocket on the logo (baby blue). I mean, was the designer on drugs!?!?! Psychedelic man! NOT! Add red and white "stripes" and what did you get? A mess... The new logo is a huge improvement!
No doubt. Those multi-color orange jobs were garish to say the least! I think the new Astro uni's are one of the best looking in all of MLB. Why couldn't the Rox got that group to design their look, their brand name?
35,000 fans DID NOT boo the new logo. Half prob weren't even watching the screen. And of the half that did, a third were silent and shocked and a third actually liked it outright. That leaves about MAYBE 5,000 or so fans that MIGHT'VE booed. Believe me, if 35,000 fans booed it would been a LOT louder than it was. And just so u know, I was there too. And btw...there were only 29,091 fans at the game.
