I appreciate your contribution to the site. Is there anything you can tell us about what you're hearing?
I'd like them to get Neimanja Bjelica. It's realistic, he is a legit 4 at 6'10", can sharpshoot from 3, and he has surprisingly good advanced defensive metrics. Also opens up a lot of interesting possibilities like sliding PJ to the 3 at times, getting PJ more rest, or putting Bjelica at center in 5-out lineups.
AG, Covington and even Bertans definitely close to the portrait. In that case, many teams who with nice trade assets might get the upper hand pursuing the typical 3D PF we are coveting. It would be more realistic that we look at those veterans who gonna be bought out or released and are free agents. Its tilman's call, in the end. Trade clock tickling…countdown
I still remember the trade help Raptors to get champion. Blazers becomes stable after getting Ariza. Houston can think about to get below players Kevin love, Ibaka, Rose, Griffin, Spurs aldright,
"We were close on a couple scenarios - but the right deal just wasnt out there for us..." ...but there was an opportunity for LTS...
dont worry I remember. The buyout free agent market is where we are going to make our hay day. I said this on another thread we need to pick up DMO and Faried now that the CBA has suspended their season over the virus epidemic and we have the perfect small ball big in Dmo and Faried. We need to trade the most necessary pieces to get this done and we might get under the LT
I think AG is a luxury we can’t afford at this point. We can get only one solid player and this isn’t the time to hope he turns around his whole career just by joining us. I wouldn’t swap Tucker for him, too risky in this window and Tucker is our best defender, extremely reliable for the most part. What we need is a big 3/4 guy who can defend and not be a liability from corner 3. Covington isn’t perfect but he fits that role better. Turner we can’t acquire imo, he is 4-5 months removed from being a top 3 defender in the NBA who can shoot. Not to mention replacing Capela with him is a major drop in rebounding, which is a problem we’ve only just barely fixed.
We're not going to do anything significant, book it. And the Nene thing was a major screw up on our side. Morey probably knew it might not be accepted, so should not have taken that risk.
